Well made quality product, but.....Installed by Harley dealer on 2014 Softail DeluxeI'm 220 and not saying what she weighs, but even on the lowest setting the ride is very hard, even the slightest bump is bad.Was looking for a better ride, not worse. Very disappointed.

This was a great upgrade for my bike, I did the progressive front spring kit as well and it's like a completely different bike. Well worth the money and time in my opinion.

Have been riding these shocks for over three months. The wife and I are a 430 lb load so even with stock shock preload set as high as it would go still got continual bottoming out on 2014 Harley Heritage Classic. These shocks fixed the problem. Set preload for me on bike solo and when wife is riding just give the adjuster a twist for more preload. I have ridden from smooth pavement to washboard dirt and gravel roads and love these shocks. I prefer a firm ride (not harsh) and these work perfect. If you like the mushy and vague handling of stock shocks you should probably look for something else. Also installed Progressive Suspension 31-2502 Monotube Fork Cartridge Kit which really compliment these shocks.

I realize these are the Heavy Duty 422's but I figured that as I am a bigger guy weighing in at about 250lbs that they would be ok for me. I put these on my Fatboy and took them off 3 months later after I broke a shock mount bolt off in the swingarm (On the shock with the RAP adjustment). Even on the lightest preload setting the shocks were just too stiff for me solo. Riding on rough roads would leave me feeling as if my kidneys had been beat out of me. Adding the wife on the back the ride was still on the firm side but not so bad. I would say if you are rolling around in the 350+ weight range it might be ok.I ended up taking these off after breaking a shock bolt and replaced them with the OEM shocks, with LA Choppers Big Blue Springs installed in them, which to me is a much better ride than with the OEM springs

The lower or softer setting is very hard for riding alone. My wheight its about 190 pounds and the riding experience is not so good. Using the same setting for two up, get better.

Put these on my wife's bike because of her complaints about handling curves. Now when I look in the rear view, all I see are smiles!
