Played thousands of sticks over the decades; every brand, every style. I enjoy the range of tonality, feel. The ActiveGrip is shockingly excellent. The density (and lack of clave-ness) unexpectedly excellent. The precision wonderful. These are 5A long with modified taper. Also bought 7A without ActiveGrip (and really miss it!) and that's just not enough weight when I want it. I'm looking for 6A long w/ modified taper and ActiveGrip -- which of these new marvels is closest to that, I wonder...bought a few more pairs of this Class Hessler version, too, for good measure.

For whatever reason I’ve always preferred Pro Mark sticks and these are a perfect size (between a 5a and 5b), with the barrel tip that I prefer. Great balance as with all Pro Mark sticks.

After 8 months with them, these are my favorite sticks by a long shot. They are kind of like Vic Firth 7A, but same length as 5A. The sleek profile makes them feel so good. And I don't know if it's just me, but it feels like the wood maybe isn't as dense so the vibrations travel more through the stick, like I feel more connected with the drums when I play with these sticks. Obviously they are not as durable, mine are all chipped up after about 7 months and will probably snap in half soon, but this is a necessary evil for this kind of stick feel. Other than that, awesome sticks, 5/5

I’m typically not a Promark person, but I wanted to try some maple sticks because I’ve been annoyed with how inconsistent hickory sticks have been lately. They’re either really light and flexible, or extremely dense. They’re all over the map as far as feel.I had a chance to use the Todd Sucherman model sticks on a session and a gig, and was extremely pleased with the feel. The only problem being that they are ridiculously expensive. $18 for one pair of sticks is absurd, so I looked for a more reasonably priced alternative, which turns out to be the Vater 5B Sugar Maple. For all intents and purposes, these are identical to the Promarks for less than half the price.So if you really like Promark, the Sucherman model is great. But if you can’t justify the price tag, check out the Vaters.

Habe mir die Sticks gekauft weil ich Todd Sucherman Fan bin und ein bisschen in seine Welt eintauchen möchte.Gewohnte ProMark Qualität. Preis ist ok. Das Paar ist sehr ausgewogen, keine Kanten und Grate, saubere Oberfläche! Über Grösse, Gewicht und Kopfform brauch ich nichts zu sagen. Der Eigenklang der Sticks unterscheidet sich nicht zu stark aber wenn man nicht gerade bei den Wiener Philharmonikern an der Schnarrtrommel klöppelt, interessiert das sowieso keinen Eisbären!Es ist ein solider Stick! Gemacht für das was er machen soll. Ordentlich Dampf hinterm RockCockpit! ... und der schöne Todd Sucherman Aufdruck motiviert ein bisschen, um vielleicht auch mal ein so guter Drummer zu werden wie Todd!Moment... da steht'n Eisbär vor meiner Türe ;-)

Generally, I don't like celebrity drummer signature sticks because they cost extra and have a tendency to be discontinued without notice. I've made an exception for these Claus Hessler sticks because the length, the diameter, the weight, the balance, the grip coating, the taper, and the tip are 100% perfect for my playing.The Firegrain is pretty, but I think it's essentially an aesthetic gimmick.ProMark's quality is exceptional and they have a great customer loyalty program.

Drum stick’s are a very personal choice, what one loves another may hate. That’s why they make so many sizes in different woods.These sticks have a great feel. The diameter and length are really nice and very comfortable, but I’ve been playing with oak sticks for so long that they feel to light, which makes me feel like they will break. They have not broken to my delight, but I find myself holding back a little bit because I am afraid they will. I am not giving up on them, If they can make it through Todds set list with STYX they will probably survive my practice room. I just need to get used to them.

I was a bit skeptical about these - really enjoyed a pair of 7a's that I had but I do have bigger hands - can palm a basketball - and I heard about these as being larger diameter but still light. I guess that's the maple wood - anyway - I'm having a blast with them - it's just like they said - beefy enough to hold but light enough to be super fast and easy to move around ... no signs of wear and tear yet either - holding up really well - the maple wood seems very durable to me. Going to get a second pair to have on hand because I like them so much.

Die Sticks sind ideal für Leute, die 5B-Sticks mit etwas mehr Länge aber weniger Gewicht als die üblichen Hickory-5B-Sticks möchten. Trotz des leichteren Holzes ist die Haltbarkeit der Sticks sehr gut. Die Qualität entspricht dem üblichlichen hohen Promark-Niveau. Einfach Top!
