This is awesome as lightweight and portable. Don't have to mess with a hose and carry torch as well as tank. This torch kicks out a good flame and does a great job burning weeds out of my rock gardens around my house. If looking for something easy to handle and still have btu power of much larger units this is your burner.

I ordered this mainly for camping. To help getting fire started so far, it's worked amazing.No more matches, no more struggling to get anything.Lit.Just use this torch and boom, you're up to the races. I've, I've also used this when smoking, meat and lighting the wood there. It's where it came in handy in a pinch. I would say on a skele one to tenant, for weed control, it's probably about a 4. It does do a good job with smaller weeds, but the big ones not so much. Um, great tool to have on hand if you just want to get some shrubbery, or something's all the way

How much prefer this high quality smaller propane torch weed burner to my larger 20 lb tank flamethrowers. I can cover a lot of area with this one, and take the time to do a complete burn of each weed or blade of grass in the unwanted area. I can leave the heavy equipment at home for more workspace inside the van, and more important, I can leave the 20 lb tank in the warehouse which improves security on hot summer days. The smaller weed burner is more economical. It is a great value for less than $30.

I like this one because it takes the small tanks of propane instead of a long hose to the large tank, which is harder to move around the yard.This is perfect for scorching the woody stems as they come up to keep them from returning. I usually wait until there's been a recent rain so the ground is a little damp, that way I don't have to worry about leaf litter burning out of control.
