All metal, except rubber/silicon seals and ceramic ball. Quality finish. The provided upper seal compresses nicely and is more convenient than plumbers putty. No leaks on the first try. Someone had complained that the drain sat high due to the seal. I did not find that on my sink. Maybe they didn't tighten it as much? The instructions were thorough and clear. For a simple chrome bathroom drain, I don't think you can beat it any price.

Bought this to replace a drain in my bathroom. The most difficult part is always removal of the old one. But, once it was out, this went in super easy. It's very similar to most drains, BUT, this one comes with a rubber washer which goes under the top drain piece. This means, you don't need to apply plumbers putty there. Maybe they're all like that now, but the last I replaced did not. It also comes with PTFE tape, so you don't need to make any other purchases. The only slight criticism I have is that the threads on the tailpiece are very short. There's maybe only like 1/4" of threads on that. So, this makes applying tape and getting it threaded into the main drain body a little sketch. But, I was leak free on the first try, so maybe I'm overthinking it.Anyways, great product, no leaks first try. Good price.

This stopper assembly works as well and installs as easily as any I've used. The materials are good quality and should last.However:- Read the instructions before you start and check to make sure you're assembling the pieces of the closure arm in the right order, for instance. It's easy to have to take it apart and redo it if you get them in the wrong order.- It's tricky to get it to seal really well to the base of the sink on its own. A leak here would be low-pressure, so caulk would work but even stainless putty would do the job.- The lever arm for the closure is longer than most I've seen. Our bathroom sink is a standard model and size, installed normally, and the lever arm hits the back wall. You can shorten the arm with a hacksaw (but it's a commendably beefy piece of metal) or you can gouge a groove out of the wall if it's drywall and not the back of your cabinet (kind of a displeasing hack). Otherwise, odds are good that when you try to raise and lower the stopper, the back of that arm will hit the wall and stop.A lot of kits have an arm that's scored so you can shorten it fairly easily if you need to. This kit, no. Still, I haven't seen a better kit at this price, and I'd buy this one again.

We have several bathroom vanities that were purchased as a unit. They included the cabinet below, the stone counter, and the sink. We had to add the faucet, but the drain was already installed. While the vanities are very nice, the drains that were included were not. Even though the trim kit we bought would operate a drain, all the vanities came with pop-up drains that didn't work well. We initially didn't bother to change them out but after a few years, they became discolored and looked terrible. We replaced the drains in 3 sinks with this better quality drain which is not a pop-up and operates so much better. Most important to me, it looks so much better!

I ordered two of these after replacing the original equipment in a rental home that was built in 2006. The replacement parts that I purchased at the LHS (you know, the one with the Orange Logo) were roughly $15 but made entirely out of plastic. These lasted less than a year so I wanted to go with all metal parts. Similar hardware from the LHS was about $40/each, so these drain kits are a huge bargain.I ordered and installed two of these kits, one went in with zero issues but the second sink needed some additional TLC before it could be put back into service.**YOU WILL NEED TO USE THREAD TAPE (NOT SUPPLIED) ON THE LOWER ASSEMBLY!! **This is noted in the instructions but I didn't use it initially and had some minor leakage on a high volume test, so definitely follow the instructions. The only part of this kit that are not metal is the assembly for the waste drain, which is to be expected. Some parts are aluminum, but still very high quality.

It was very easy to install. The instructions are very straightforward. Looks nice and feels like it's good quality. There was one review I noticed before purchasing about the rod that goes from the drain pipe to the faucet leaver being too long and hitting the back wall. I had the same issue, I have tools to cut and make shorter but this may not be the case for everyone so be aware of this issue.

The arm coming out of my previous pop-up drain broke and it was easier to just replace the whole assembly than to try and repair (whole thing was in pretty bad shape, especially drain body where someone put pliers directly on the drain and partially cracked it). I was able to use the included gasket and did not have to use any plumbers putty or caulk to seal the basin. Since this one was never mangled it works way smoother than the old one and will actually stay in place if set in between fully open or closed. If you don't have much experience with plumbing take a little extra time to learn where/how to use teflon tape, that seems to be one of the most common mistakes. Apparently the instructions aren't great but I can't speak to that as I never looked at them.

Installed it a few days ago, so not sure how it will last, but it seems quite solid and the chrome looks great. Even the pull rod is higher quality but take note to use a wrench or pliers to give the holding screw some extra tightening to work properly.

Good quality for the price. I did have a drip where the tailpiece screws into the casting, but a little extra teflon tape and it was fixed. The instructions do say you must use tape on this joint. Be liberal and you're fine.

I am a fairly handy person and was not happy with my Moen product. This is a superior product to the OEM. Installation was easy but I agree with a previous purchaser: I discarded the top rubber washer and used plumber's putty. Looks amazing and functions beautifully. Thanks Purelux!
