Buy this instead of taller handlbars... be sure to measure and get the RIGHT SIZE for you handlebar mounting diameter and your front "quill" fork tube as there are more than one choice.

I was confused by the diameters and pictures in the listing, but it worked out fine. Apparently this is always a 25.4 diameter stem (where it in sets into the fork), and the "Item Display Length" option for 25.4mm or 22.2mm pertains to the handlebar diameter.The pictures of the stem base are confusing. The black rounded part is a throw-away plastic cap. The actual stem base is an angle-cut fitting that is not shown in the pictures.A sticker on the stem warns: "All bolts must be checked for tightness before every ride" if you are to avoid serious and/or fatal injuries. This is what our world has come to.I was hesitant to order from such a messed up listing, but the stem looks and feels like quality and is a perfect replacement for my previous stem.

I had not rode my bike in a couple of years because I needed to replace this part. I keep debating whether I should take it to a bike shop but didn't want to pay the repair cost. Decided to look up the part on Amazon and I am glad I did. For the cost and easy installation I can't thank you enough. I have enjoyed being able to ride my bike again. THANK YOU!
