I have a lot of congas and I bought this one to complete the set. The wood is assembled together well and includes the fiberglass reinforcement. However, New Zealand pine or almost any is a soft wood. When I received it I reset tge skin and tune it. Played great. That was it until my gig last week. When packing my equipment there were washers , screws and nuts on the floor and could not find them all. The next day I inspected this drum and every bolt was loose. I checked the other congas and they were not lose but found that the tumba did not have the fiberglass reinforcement. So, I am missing hardware and can’t get LP to back their product. The drum is playable but make sure you check all the screws as you would expect for a drum of this price. I am just disappointed after buying and playing LP for 50+ years. Raul Rekow would be disappointed too.
