The Pertex Quantum Air shell offers air-permeable breathability. Unlike standard shells, the air-permeable lining begins to breathe the minute you zip up. The hood fits comfortably and snugly under your climbing and skiing helmets. A regular fit lets you layer over baselayers and under protective rain shells with ease.

Very light weight ,Windproof . It is a technical jacket. You get it to go mountain climbing . It is perfect for that. But to take a walk in Chicago in winter . It's an underlayer. It's 10 oz so how warm is it going to be .It's as warm as 10 oz can possibly be. So don't expect to to be a winter jacket at 25 f unless you are biking or climbing a mountain.

Nice jacket. Very light. Very warm. Think Nano Puff without the quilted exterior. Better than expected in the wind. Decent water resistance. Hood is a bit small but designed for helmet compatibility. Fit is good. Not boxy but not a full on slim fit.
