The steel mandrel takes extra effort to set the rivet, but it also makes sure there is a nice, tight, set.Good stuff.Just remember, there is a small piece of steel left inside the rivet.

These are the type that are NOT slit on 3 sides. I like this "solid" type much more. Better holding, better in tight areas, conforms to various thicknesses and they don't have 3 "legs". I've used these in many repairs and for attaching.

I don't know why Volvo decided to put rivets in the wheel wells for the XC90 but they did. And they want crazy money for those rivets. These work very well and are black to blend in.

Needed some wide flange rivets to replace a plastic fender flare. Couldn't find any that matched the OE size at any of the local hardware stores. These worked just fine.
