Discharge Fuse & Charging Fuses

I bought this to replace the original RR5 battery which is 5 years old. I charged it, took it out, and used it on a ride with 30 mph winds. 25 miles and only used up 35% of the charge. It's much better than the 75% of the old battery with the same mileage. It does fit the original battery tray. I just loosened the mounting bolts and slid it down as far as it would go to get the new battery on the bike without having to swap trays. I'm hoping for a few good years with this battery.

Seems to work well with enhanced capacity over the standard 14AH battery. Because additional lithium battery cells are needed in the construction the battery is about 1 inch taller than the standard battery: 4.75 inches vs 3.75 inches. See attached photos. Length and width are the same. Due to the additional height the battery will not fit either of our folding Rad Bikes, where the battery is positioned vertically. The battery does fit the full-size Rad Rover, but just barely and only after readjusting the position of the battery holder on the frame. Another issue is the Fed Ex shipping used, requiring a physical signature. This requires an adult to be present during the roughly 4-hour window to receive the parcel. There is no mention of this by the seller, nor option to change it if one has other obligations such as working away from home.

I wanted an extra battery for my 2018 Rad City bike and went to order one from the Rad Bike website. "Out of stock". They want $499 when they get them for a 14 Ah battery and do not specify if it is Safe Shield. And in the small print, they charge a $60 shipping fee and you don't get a charger! Glad I found Unit Pack Power; $389 for a 20 Ah Safe Shield battery with a 3 Amp fast charger!I'm glad that Rad was out of stock; I got a much better battery and charger for less money. Charged it up last night and went 23 miles this morning with 65% power left.

I bought this battery to replace the stock battery that came with my Rad Rover 5. I get much more voltage and ultimately range with my bike over the stock battery. Excellent value and performance. Also I had a few questions for the seller before and after purchasing the battery and I was very happy with the response and support. Highly recommend.

I purchased a 20 aH model. Worked initially, but then stopped working. I emailed the company who said it was a problem with the board. They sent me a new board and asked me to disassemble the battery cut wires and install the new board. Still didn't work. I got a refund after many emails with the Chinese company. Eventually bought another 1 and it works well. Fits the RR+ no problem and has great range. Guess the first one was a lemon. They did eventually solve my problem but not a great experience to be asked to open a battery.
