Just received the knife and it has a great weight to it. I purchased from Rada Cutlery because it was American made. I intend on purchasing a full set of new kitchen and carving knives as well.

This spreader was smaller than the one I currently use but it seems very sturdy and works well. The one I am replacing has a yellow handle that deteriorated when putting it in the dishwasher, so I'm anxious to see how this holds up over time. It also slices through a sandwich really well.

I purchased this because I saw something very similar to it being used to scrape out the baked potato from its skin and chop/semi mash the potato up. It doesn't really do a fantastic job at that specific task, it does work. Spreading salads, condiments, arranging pickles or caramelized onions, that sort of thing, this tool works outstanding for. It's sturdy, well made, semi flexible blade, serrated edge on one side but not on the top or the far bottom near the handle. Not designed to scoop though.

Love it! In fact I love all Rada products. They are superior quality at a great price and made in the USA, Waverly, Iowa. This little spreader is perfect for cheese balls, dips, and spreads. It looks nice and can go in the dishwasher. I have many Rada utensils and knives. They are the bomb!

Awesome spreader! I love the weight of it and the serrated blade is great for butter that is to hard. If I was to have a complaint it would be that I wish it had a longer spreader.

It well made. Obviously meant to last a lifetime. My main criticism is that the handle, where it joins the blade, has tips so sharp I had to file them down. I mean sharp. I would also prefer a broader blade. Other than that, it's a perfectly serviceable utensil, and I will use till I can find my old spreader that disappeared in the chaos of my move.
