This is a great & useful weather station. I installed it almost a year ago on a 10 foot pole over the house. The display is good, it connects wirelessly between the display & the weather station on the pole, and it seems sturdy enough for the job. Was easy to connect to the home wifi and easy to make a WeatherCloud account so the out of state family can see our weather. Weather UnderGround was not quite as easy to set up, but we did it too.I really like this weather station. Except for 1 thing. The AA batteries are in the remote unit, at the top of that 10 foot pole on top of the house. The first set went dead in 3 months, and the 2nd set has been going 8 months so far is still seems ok. The manual says batteries ought to last 1-2 years.Anyway, I'm the guy that had to climb the roof to bring the pole down carefully to change those AA batteries. I used more of the same Costco AA batteries, and next time I would consider getting whatever is supposed to last the longest, maybe lithium AA batteries. There really ought to be a long wire with a battery holder mounted at the bottom of the pole, in easy reach to make replacing those batteries a non-issue. But there isn't. It would be an easy hack to add a remote battery holder & I will def consider that next time I'm asked to replace those batteries.I would def give 5 stars if the battery was remote, down where we could easily get to it, instead of at the top of the pole with the sensors.Except for that battery thing, I'm very happy with this weather station & I am considering getting more of them as gifts for family far away... Even knowing that I will need to install and maintain them.

I have had other weather stations and never really liked the display but this one is bright and easy to read but also dimmable, it’s easy to set up and all the functions work perfectly and very affordable. If your looking buy this one.

I was really excited to receive this unit. Unfortunately I had to wait a few months before installing, so I cannot return it. I was very shocked that once I finally opened the box and began reading the instructions on how to set it up, that it didn’t come with an app that you could download to my phone (any model of phone). It requires you to set up accounts with weather companies so you can transmit your data to those websites (not to your phone) which is BS. I assume the data would be sent through WiFi to an app I should have been able to download, not sifting through two different websites trying to find my units data. but haven’t been able to confirm that, because even though I’ve set up the accounts, I don’t have a damn laptop (which they tell you need after the fact). If I had known that I needed to be an IT wiz and own a laptop I would never have bought this over priced unit. I don’t understand all the high ratings this unit gets because it is VERY complicated to set up.I set this unit up at my hunting land, 1 1/2 hrs away from house, so I could monitor rain amounts, etc. Not only can I not do that, I noticed last wknd when I was out there, the outside temp it was reading as WAY off. Very warm weather this wknd, about 75 deg, the entire time it was reading 31 deg Fahrenheit. I unplugged it for an hour to reset it and nothing changed.I did read tons of reviews before buying, so much so, that I thought I was going to be really happy spending the extra $ on this unit, but I am completely disappointed and will make damn sure I find another one that connects to WiFi and sends the info to a downloadable app.The actual station does look like a really good unit and looks like it operates really well, but what damn diff does that make if you have to work and chase down the info you are wanting to receive and monitor. To anyone thinking about buying this unit, be sure you own a laptop and are very IT savvy. Good luck!

I've only had this a few days .. but some observations:- Delivered in 2 days- Well packed and all pieces present except 1 nut (I happened to have one)- Both the outdoors unit and the indoor display look to be high quality and well constructed.- Easy to assemble the outdoor unit. About a 10 minute job. Required tools provided.- Good detailed instructions on this phase- I happened to have a spare 1.25 inch square PVC 'picket' left over from my deck picket fence upgrade. It fit in the two u-clamps provided and made for an easy attractive way to mount the outside unit up about 2 feet from a deck post.- The main unit has a bright and clear display. This display has all of the icons possible already a part of the display .. meaning this is not like a generalized LCD (say on a phone or tablet) display. So each icon is lit when called for. Display is solid, clear and bright with no jitters, etc. Good viewing angles.- The display unit offers many optional features on how to display each parameter captured. Optional alarm limits and more. Very complete.- The front panel buttons are a little arcane to understand how to operate the display features. The middle button seems like a true clickity button. The other 4 buttons seem more like a touch area and not a true button. I'm still not certain about this or maybe my unit is slightly defective in that these buttons seem touchy. I have been able to use all 5 of these button areas to do what I needed to do to configure the systems operation.- The instructions for the optional calibrating the various sensor signals seem a little convoluted. Essentially correction factors, either plus or minus, must be entered. I'd rather just enter the correct value. For example, I struggled to correct my barometric pressure to display the correct relative pressure. I wish I could have just entered the relative pressure value that I wanted and let the unit calculate the correction factor to be used on future pressure readings. But I got it after 4 or 5 try's.- My outside unit is only maybe 20 feet from the display portion so they easily communicate.- Good instructions for connecting to your WIFI router. The manual has a type-o on the units SSID that you are to connect to. But its SSID seems to stand out from the others that you will see on your PC.- Good instructions for creating your Weather Underground and Weathercloud accounts and adding your weather station. info. Fairly straight forward and worked the first time for me. I'll add that using Weather Underground and/or Weathercloud tremendously enhances using this weather station. All of your collected weather station readings are available at the web sites from any PC and/or phone from any location. Recommended.- Hard to say on the units overall accuracy on the various measurements unless you have an accurate reference for these parameters. I have only a few accurate references. The indoor temp in particular seems a few degrees too high. I wonder if there is a bit of heat buildup inside the units enclosure from the circuitry. I'll try to calibrate that error out. Overall, I believe my readings are at least ok if not better. I'll likely compare some of my units results with other neighborhood weather stations that I see online.- Overall, based on just a day or two usage ... I am impressed with this weather station features and operation.

I already had the Raddy WF-100C Lite Weather Station when I received this and was eager to see the differences, both in design and performance. There is a huge difference in design but accuracy for temperature and humidity. They are within.2 C for temperature and 1% for humidity. Rain gauge-wise, since setting up this version, we haven't had any rain, so I can't comment on that, but the 100C is very close to what other systems have set up.Up front:I strongly recommend reading all the material before assembling and connecting the device to the internet. In fact, there are sections which should probably be read twice or three times as it can get technical. What I really like about these weather stations is that I can be anywhere in the world and see exactly what is going on at home. What they show vs. what the standard online weather services show for my area can, at times, be very different. The biggest difference in design is the way in which the wind speed and direction indicators are set up on the frame. The rain collector is also larger and comes with steel spikes that can be snapped on to discourage birds from sitting on and pooping in the collector cup.► The kit comes with everything needed to mount the unit, but the included pipe, used to go from the station to whatever it's mounted to, is far too short. Even the 100C came with a longer section of pipe. This is an important item. If mounted on the corner of a roof, it needs to be high enough to avoid snow build-up and also to avoid heat from shingles affecting the temperature sensor. I had to find a section of aluminum pipe and cut it to about 2 1/2 feet (the included pipe is only 11 inches long, and by the time it's set up in the mount on the station and then whatever it's mounted to there is no more than 8 inches or so of room between it and the roof.► While both units have solar panels to charge up the wireless link, this unit (WF-100SE) is flat and in the middle between the arms, which means snow is going to collect on it. At least the 100C solar panel is mounted at the south-pointing end and slanted. The unit does accept three AA batteries as a backup to the solar panel and built-in battery system, and I installed lithium's, but I expect that these will come into play long before the 100C because the solar panel will be useless due to snow.👀 I don't understand why the people who design systems that use solar panels can't accept the fact that the panels need to be sloped when the devices they will be selling are going to be used in areas where snow happens for many months of the year. Sure, in Arizona, it might be fine, but not in Northern Canada.✘ In the winter, when the sun is low on the horizon, even a slanted solar panel pointed south won't get a lot of sunshine, so one that is mounted almost horizontally, even if not covered in snow, won't produce a lot of power. On to the details:The indoor display shows everything but also allows the system to be connected to two online personal weather station services, Wunderland and Weathercloud. Accounts need to be set up on each, and there is a process to follow, outlined in the included documentation, on how to set up the accounts and get connected. Once this is done, there is a web URL for each service that can be accessed from anywhere via a web browser. You can always see what the weather is like back home as long as you have internet service.► Getting this set up takes about half an hour, and there are a number of steps involved.► The indoor display is logically laid out and easy to read.► As long as the station is properly set up, the right end is pointed directly south, and the wind direction indicator is right on.► When I compare temperature and humidity to other devices I have, they are all within a couple of decimal places.► The display uses a wall war adapter to power it but also accepts three AAA batteries in the event the adapter loses power so that communication between the display and station is not interrupted. One reviewer here complains about the build quality. There is nothing wrong with it. The whole unit is designed to be lightweight, which is important considering that all of the sections are small in diameter so that wind does not twist or work on shifting the device while it's mounted. The 100C easily withstood a major hail storm, and this model is built to the same specifications. When you consider what this does and how well it works, comparing it to a $150 phone is a silly thing to do. This has to sit outside 24/7 365 in -50 degree and +40 degree weather and still function. That $150 phone won't do that.As I write this review, the unit is selling for $288.99, which is a good deal for what this can do. Just remember that a longer section of pipe is going to be needed. The ONLY reason I'm only giving this 4 stars is because of how the solar panel is set up.
