The unit works fine, but be warned it cost us about $4K to do the mitigation. Which dropped our levels from 5.5 to about 1.8 The only reason it was that amount is that I bought the stuff, and did the work myself. A local business gave us a quote ie nearly 10K, and wouldn’t even do the part of the job that had a crawl space…

It good to have a radon meter as radon gas is undetectable without testing it is always good to know if your air is within limit that is not harmful

Seemed to work?....Reading around 5, which matched a physical test done alongside it. Then, 2 weeks later, it's saying readings 30+....???? Instructions are kind of vague ....

Das Gerät ist erst wenige Tage im Einsatz, tut aber anscheinend was es soll.Gekauft habe ich es, weil es etwas günstiger als Vergleichsgeräte war, und in den Bewertungen nichts drin stand, was ich als KO-Kriterium gewertet hätte.Es handelt sich um die US-Version, welche in pCi/L misst. Für hierzulande gebräuchliche Werte in Bq/m3 muss man also umrechnen. Die Ergebnisse des Geräts werden dazu mit 37 multipliziert, die Formel findet sich aber auch im Internet.Das Gerät ist schnell betriebsbereit, es müssen nur Batterien eingelegt und die Sicherungslasche entfernt werden, dann beginnt die Messung automatisch.Eine Anleitung ist vorhanden, auf englisch, französisch, italienisch und sogar auf deutsch. Zwar handelt es sich nur um ein Faltblatt, welches aber überraschenderweise ganz gut gelungen ist, nicht zu kurz, nicht zu lang, und allgemein verständlich.Die bisher angezeigten Werte ergeben durchaus Sinn, befinden sich im Rahmen den man erwarten konnte, und reagieren auf nachvollziehbare Art nach einigen Stunden, wenn man beispielsweise ein Fenster geöffnet hat. Daher gehe ich von ordnungsgemäßer Funktion des Geräts aus.Was mir nicht gefällt:Die hier und in der Anleitung erwähnte Sicherungslasche für die Stromzufuhr war bei mir bereits entfernt worden. Da das Display aber noch seine Schutzfolie besaß hab ich darüber hinweggesehen.Dann hab ich Probleme den Hersteller zu finden. Kontaktieren Sie uns bei Schwierigkeiten, steht in der Anleitung, nur leider vollkommen ohne Kontaktmöglichkeiten. CE Prüfzeichen ist drauf, made in China, erhältlich in zwei Versionen, nämlich für Europa und USA.Orsong soll laut Angaben hier der Hersteller sein, Verkäufer Amazon.US, der Name Orsong taucht aber weder in der Anleitung noch auf der Verpackung oder dem Gerät selbst auf, und Googlen half mir auch nicht weiter. Auch sonst gibt es keinerlei offizielle Infos zu finden, sofern ich nichts Kleingedrucktes übersehen habe.Da aber anscheinend alles läuft wie es soll kann man dafür ja kaum Sterne abziehen. Sollte das Gerät nach wenigen Monaten den Geist aufgeben geb ich hier ein Update.Radon puh...immer wenn man denkt man wäre mit allem durch wird die nächste Sau durchs Dorf getrieben. Wäre ja auch langweilig sonst. Muss halt jeder für sich selbst entscheiden, welcher Angstlevel hier angemessen ist. Mir gings nur darum auszuschließen, dass ich auf dem Radon-Hotspot Deutschlands sitze.

Bought this to test the radon in our brand new build and it came back super high. Had the radon crew come and they fixed us up and now the radon levels are super low! It’s great readability, easy to use and now we just have it for peace of mind. But definitely worth it!!

I did not know if there was Radon in my home. I have a crawl space access in the small bedroom and put the detector in there. It had a reading after 24 hours and now it is tracking multiple days and single day. It is at 0.4 and that is 1/10 of what the US Government states what is a safe level. So I am very glad that I now know.
