It is advertised to fit 6” opening. But this unit is 6” so it does not fit.It needs to be slightly smaller so it gross into the opening.It is well made and sturdy and would have been great if it fit.At this point it’s not worth the time to return so I’ll just find another use for it.

Nothing worse than a breeding ground for mosquitoes and bugs during the Spring and Summer down south, so got this to cover our rain barrel. It’s done a good job keeping things from getting in and fits our barrel well. Mesh is really fine so water goes in smoothly without debris. Installation was easy and straight forward. Seems well made for the price so good value there! So far, we’re impressed.

I live in Florida and decided to put my rain barrel into storage because I do not need to breed more mosquitoes than we already get here. Mesh netting was a pain.This though did the trick.Well made and sturdywater can run inKeeps out insects (or in if you already have something growing)has a lip that rests on the hole that this fits into. Easy to take in and out.Does not rust. Well so far. But aluminum should not.Looks nicer than a net.
