My husband works outdoors and sometimes even in the rain. He does sprinklers and landscaping. On days with bad weather he would come home looking like a wet muddy mess. His muddy clothes would need to be soaked before washing. Now with this waterproof rainsuit things have changed. The suit fits him well over the clothes he's wearing. It is very comfortable to have on. He is well protected from the rain. The suit gives him a layer of warmth. Plus it helps he's not cold and wet. There is ventilation in the suit that helps him not sweat and provides circulation. The pockets on the jacket and pants are nice since you are covering up your clothes. This is hand wash only. Washing this by hand is pretty easy and cleans up nicely.

This is a great set! I am a medium and I got this jacket in a medium and it fit really well so I would say its true to size. I wanted a jacket that would reflect well on bad weather when I’m walking and this is perfect. It covers me well and I can be easily seen. This is also very comfortable while wearing. I had a number of months already and it held up really well, so I’m pleased with the quality of this jacket and panta set.

This Giemchy rain suit repels water as advertised, so is very functional for that purpose. I ordered these for my son. I got a large for the length but the pants are still a bit short and very baggy. I guess that's okay because this generally would be worn over other clothing. Being that it is so roomy, it could be worn over warm clothing or a few other layers of clothes.I said green parts are very bright and visible. The suit is very lightweight so can be layered as mentioned previously, but also could be worn without much underneath on hotter days if needed. There are ventilation holes in the jacket so that should help to keep it a bit cooler. Hopefully this will come in handy in rainy weather when he's out adventuring, fishing, riding his Harley, or whatever.

I was actually looking for a lighter/thinner rain outfit and was surprised at how robust this top and bottom set are, as well as their quality.A nice rain suit for the money, but the material is a bit thicker than that of windbreaker-like materials. No complaints.

All the highest reviews are "Free Vine" reviews. Not an average person. This rainsuit feels like a cheap halloween costume very very thin plastic material. I hope, but doubt it will last a week of normal use. I got this for 50% off and paid 25$ I would recommend spending more and getting something quality. I wish I had read the reviews and saw that they were being reviewed by vine reviewers. I would only change this review If this were free lol

I got this rain suit for my husband, for times when it's raining and the dogs need to go out. He can also wear it at sporting events if a light rain hasn't cancelled the game. The jacket is very lightweight. He thinks it will be hot in the summer, but it depends on if the fabric breathes at all. The jacket has ventilation holes in the back and under the arms, so maybe he won't sweat in it. The sleeves fit snug, so rain won't run up his sleeves if he wears it golfing. The cuffs of the pants have snaps that can snug the pants in close around his ankles. I like snaps better than elastic - it makes them easier to put on.The jacket fits well. I ordered a size too big, thinking he'd need it to fit over his clothing, but I probably could have ordered the right size. The pants look like a size too small. He can get them on, but just barely. I wondered if the pants we got were mis-sized. I ordered a XXL. His jeans are a 38 inch waist, but these XXL rain pants barely fit.I'm really looking forward to rainy nights with HIM walking the dogs! I'll stay home and stay warm. After all - the rain suit is HIS, not mine!

Crabbing at the mouth of the Columbia River sounds like an epic adventure, but facing its unpredictable weather demands the right gear. Enter the Giemchy Raincoat Suit, promising to keep you dry whether you're hauling in Dungeness or dodging downpours. We put it to the test – let's see if it's a keeper or destined for the depths of the tackle box.Waterproof Warrior: Let's be honest, the most crucial aspect of any raincoat is its ability to repel water. This Giemchy set delivers. The high-performance polyester fabric beads off raindrops like magic, leaving you feeling comfortably dry even during heavy showers. We braved drizzle and unexpected squalls, and remained pleasantly unscathed.Breathable Brazeness: A waterproof shell that traps heat is a recipe for clammy discomfort. Thankfully, the Giemchy suit breathes exceptionally well. The fabric allows for air circulation, keeping you from feeling like a steamed crab even during strenuous activity. We were impressed with how it stayed comfortable throughout our crabbing expedition.High Visibility Hero: Safety first! The bright orange color and generous reflective detailing on this suit make you a beacon in low-light conditions. Whether it's a foggy morning or a sudden squall, drivers and fellow crabbers will easily spot you amidst the rain and mist.Durable Defender: Built for adventure, the Giemchy suit stands up to wear and tear with impressive resilience. The strong polyester fabric shrugs off snags and abrasions from rocks, branches, and the occasional overenthusiastic crab claw.Drawstring Dilemma: While the Giemchy suit excels in most areas, one small detail left us wishing for more. The pants lack a drawstring, relying solely on an elastic waistband for closure. This can be a drawback, especially when bending down or reaching for that perfect crab pot placement. A good drawstring would provide a more secure and adjustable fit, eliminating the worry of pants slipping down at inopportune moments. (Pun intended!)Verdict:The Giemchy Raincoat Suit is a solid contender for your Columbia River crabbing adventures. It's waterproof, breathable, highly visible, and built to last. However, the lack of a drawstring on the pants leaves a slight snag in its perfect score. Still, for its exceptional water protection, comfort, and durability, we recommend it with the caveat that you might want to add your own drawstring customization for peace of mind (and pants!).Rating: 4 out of 5 stars (a reliable rain warrior, with a small wish for waistline control!)Remember, fellow crabbers, even the best gear needs a bit of personal attention. So grab your Giemchy suit, add your drawstring touch, and get ready to conquer the Columbia River, rain or shine!
