Very good product. Similar build quality to part that it replaced. Exact fit. Fixed P2004 error code. Took apart the old part - composed of a motor and position sensor. Looks like the position sensor wore out. So definitely a bad part. New part put in, cleared code with obdii tool and error code has not returned. Running for over 2 week. Will update if problem returns.Originally concerned because the part was lower cost than many that were 2x even 3x the price.

I had a check engine light code come up on my car. It was for code P2004. I looked up online video about the repair. This was the part everyone used to repair this check engine code. To fix this part it took me 3 screw to undo it and pull off the part. It was also about that easy to reinstall. This part fixed my check engine light. I also drove into the mountains today. This part control how much air goes into the engine. My car ran a lot better after replacing this. The power was more consistent than before replacing it. This was not an upgrade. It was the same part at the factory part. But this was the cheapest of that part on the internet. I ordered it then it took maybe 48 hours to arrive to my apartment. The install was easy. If I can order other car part from here again I definitely will.

Installed it on my 2014 Jeep Patriot. You have to take off some hoses, electrical cables and take out battery. Makes it alot easier to replace. Took care of my problem. Alot cheaper than a mechanic.

*EDIT* After a week the codes came back and stayed back. I disassembled this part to see why and found the position sensor contacts won't even make contact inside the sensor. They are positioned about a 1/2" away and when the sensor rotates, move even further away. So a real fail in design and without position data, the computer just asumes the part is bad. I guess the week it took to throw the code again was simply the computer taking it's time to complete the thorough drive cycle diagnostics. i have edited this reveiw and stars to reflect this. This is very easy to put on a Patriot with enough access to all of the bolts and wire harness once you remove the air filter box. No need to remove the battery. After install and doing a check engine clear code, I still had the P2017 code and picked up the P2004 code as well (which I didn't have before). Using my blue driver code reader I had to run the Clear all codes/modules command, which took a few minutes, to truly reset the PCM. You could probably just leave the battery disconnected for a 1/2 hour and get the same results. On the patriot there are three bolts, two 10mm and one 8mm, I used a 1/4" ratchet and 3" extension for all three as they are course thread screws into the plastic intake manifold, so no rusted stuck issues here. The sensor is spring loaded so once you start wiggling it off, the top of the sensor plate will rotate towards the front bumper. Remember this as you want to place the new sensor in the same position, the rotate back towards the firewall against the spring tension to line up the bolts. Good luck!
