i love the sound of hard metal gears that are meshed just right, you know what i mean right? if not grab a set of these and set the messh correctly and let her rip you'll know it when you hear it. these are definitely hard steel I'm not sure what kind but they are working in my Maxx that wines due to the overpowered max 5 and 1200 kv motor it pushes any gear mesh to its breaking point eventually, we will see how long these hold up they have already blown stock gears away weeks ago.

Now these are some amazing gears! They were made so well and machined perfectly for this speed ratio, this car got quite a boost after this upgrade. The installation was very smooth and easy. I had no issues with the install.This package comes with the basic hardware you need or you can use the current stock ones either way you will have extra hardware if need be. I have to say that this metal is much better then what Traxxas had put in this out the box which I just don’t understand to make an Ultimate version and not do this from the get go but no matter this was an amazing upgrade and I would recommend to anyone with this build to give it a try and see the amazing difference! The price is very fair and well worth it, a must have!
