Can't ask Alexa to control feeding, just can watch and talk while dog starves.

It is Alexa compatible for the camera only. I wanted to say 'alexa feed the cat', but that is not an option. Returning and buying another one with that capability.Was good other than that, camera is high quality. App is user friendly, but just not Alexa compatible the way I wanted.

This feeder is really difficult to setup. It also can’t handle normal sized kibble without clogging.

I bought this to allow me to use voice command with Alexa. Plain and simple that does not work. You can however use the camera with Alexa, but nothing else…

This thing is garbage. I had such high hopes when I saw that a somewhat reputable brand was releasing a pet food feeder. Shame on me for not doing my homework though. Apparently RCA no longer exists and the brand name can now be licensed to anyone who wants to put out a semi-legit looking product.The plastic is very poor quality. Handling the product gave me the impression that it would not survive if it tipped over. Certainly would be no match for a bigger dog or any dog that is rough.I would have been willing to give it a shot, but after I got it all unpacked, setup, and plugged in, I scanned the QR code in the instruction manual and it took me to an Android App that is not compatible with the most recent version of Android (14). I literally am unable to install the smart phone app that controls the whole device. Even more concerning, the manual says that the app is compatible with Android 5 and up. Well Android 5 came out way back in 2014. I find it hard to believe that a brand new product supports a 10 year-old mobile OS. So needless to say, red flags all over the place. I would be very hesitant to use the mobile application associated with this product, even if I was able to load it.It will be going back.
