Tape can be added to thumbhle as needed if hole or thumb swells or contracts. The amazing thing is that when you remove it during bowling there is NO sticky residue left behind. Have been using this tape in all my balls for a couple of years and it has enabled me to maintain my grip thus improving my scores by enabling a better ball release.
