This was a good buy. Fit perfectly and was easy to install on my 07 Suburban. The lift gate (trunk) was not able to open and seemingly locked shut. It broke mid soccer tournament 4 hours away from home, so inconvenient is an understatement. I did a bunch of research and figured this was my problem. Once getting the lift gate opened manually (a whole different story), which was difficult, this replacement part went right in and didn’t need a computer to relearn the new part. Works perfectly. Saved myself tons of money with this choice.

Works great. There is a video on YouTube on how to do it and it only took 35-40 minutes to do. Much faster opening than my old one and quieter. Delivered fast and it is an exact match to the old one. My liftgate would unlock but not left and make a grinding noise with resistance when I pulled the hatch up.

The motorized liftgate on my 08 Tahoe would not work and the lock/unlock function would act weird. Turned out it was this causing it not work properly. Sometimes when I went to open the life gate it would make a buzzing sound and not unlock. Install was pretty straightforward, just take off the rear lift gate panel, take out a couple of bolts and remove the connector attached to the wiring harness and it was out. I looked up the removal and install process on YouTube.

My wife's 2008 Buick Enclave started having trouble with the rear lift gate that would not open electrically with any of the buttons. It would make noise and unlock/unlatch but would not lift up and open. This is a common lift gate actuator across a lot of GM vehicles with auto-opening rear hatches, such as Enclave, Tahoe, Traverse, Suburban, Enclave, Yukon, etc etc. and across many year models as well. Replacement at least on my '08 Enclave took all of 20 minutes. Tools needed. 30-Torx t-wrench, 7mm socket with extension, small flat-head screw driver to pry/pop push retainers and plastic handle cover and that's pretty much it. To replace on the Buick Enclave, open the rear hatch, pop the cover off of the pull handle with the small flat-head screwdriver, take 7mm socket and remove the two handle retention screws and set your handle along with it's metal plate to the side. Now remove the two round push tab retainers by prying out their centers with the screwdriver and pop them out and set aside. Then pry the lift gate cover down pop it loose both in the center and on each side. You do not have to remove the entire rear cover and don't worry about breaking any retainers as they will pop out and back in without risk of damage. Pry the cover down enough and it will hang down some but you will need to pry it down just a little to get access to the (3) 30 size Torx screws on the mechanism you are about to remove/replace with this part. Remove those three torx screws and set them to the side. Reach up in the access hole and rotate the old actuator motor and slide it to the side some and it will pop out on the non-wired end and come out through the access hole easily with enough slack cable/wire so you can rotate and see the plug. To remove the plug you will slide the gray retainer on the plug out and pull hard and it will slide out fully/free of the plug. Sit it to the side and then you can depress the retainer clip on the plug and pull the wire harness from the actuator motor and remove the motor and sit it to the side. Get this new actuator motor and reverse these steps. After putting everything back into place, I pressed the door switch there on the door once or twice and it clicked and made a short noise like it was calibrating itself or detecting the position of the actuator motor/lock and then the door started closing properly and latching. I then worked the door a few times with all switches, etc. and it so far has solved the problem. Good luck. Like I said, it only took me 20 minutes at the most to do this and it was easy peasy.
