This is excellent flux for sweating copper pipes. I used it on a dual hot/cold faucet in my garage and it helps solder flow quickly and evenly. No leaks, all good with one soldering pass on each pipe joint.Amazon suggested I rate the “flavor” for this product. I’ll pass on that review feature but if anyone else figures that one out, good for you! Hope that helps!

This is the best flux. Period. Home Depot used to carry this. The only place I can find on Amazon now. This is the best flux on the market. Period. It does not boil out like most other brands of flux I have used. This is very good for sweating copper pipes. I soder a lot. I never have a leak when using this product. Works perfect everytime! Highly recommend.

This stuff is great. I haven't had a single bad joint since using it. You must wipe off the pipe externals and run water through through the pipe to remove the acid when finished. I also got this in a scratch on my finger--OUCH! Do yourself a favor and get a pack of small plumbing acid brushes.

This has been the best flux I've used so far. I once had a tin of old rosin flux that lasted me for over 5 years. Unlike the rosin flux, there is very little smoke, very clean, and corrosive. If you don't clean the rosin flux off your joint, it'll eventually corrode which led me to look for a new tin. I've had it for a couple hours and it work very well with SMDs. Definitely recommend this.

I bought this flux to use on electronics. As a first time user of flux, this product has been amazing and made the process of de soldering old solder much easier. This flux has a metal tin powder mixed in that cleans and tins the head of the iron. I find that the hot iron can be dipped into the flux and used to instantly tin the tip to allow for better heat flow. Amazing. The description of this flux says that it should only be used with leaded solder, but I have been using this product with lead-free solder with no problems at all.One huge warning, if you use this for electronics: since this flux has powder tin mixed in, the flux is very effective at conducting electricity. It is very easy to short circuits with a path of this conductive slime. You will have to thoroughly clean your PCB to remove any flux created shorts. The conductive paths created with this product can be invisible.

The flux itself works great. However, the first shipment I ordered was poorly and loosely packed, so when I opened the box I found the lid had come off and was situated a few centimeters behind the jar. This told me that it didn't just fall off when it landed on my doorstep but must have come loose early in the process and gotten jostled around a lot in transit. And of course, the interior of the box was painted gray with all the flux that spilled out as a result.A bit of adhesive tape around the seal would have prevented this problem, but thankfully Amazon replaced the bad shipment with a fresh tub of flux a few weeks later. The second shipment was better packed, so maybe Amazon reviewed their shipping procedures re: this item in the interim. No complaints about the flux itself though.

Works nice to insure less mess when soldering and better bond with items being soldered. Very simple to use and it works. Comes in a paste form in the container and it takes very little to solder. So, it should last a while for a Hobbyist Solder.
