Item looks great but fitment isn’t right. Very tight trying to push on and the depth wasn’t correct and stuck out from the bezel. After drilling deeper and loosening the diameter it now has OEM fitment.

I purchased this knob to replace a broken one on my 2000 Accord. I'd been to a salvage yard and discovered that there are variations in the heater panels on the 98-2000 Accords and I couldn't find the right fit. I took a chance with this one and was initially disappointed that it didn't fit. I removed the metal sleeve inside the knob (easily removed with needle nose pliers) and it fit well. The knob is very similar to the OEM knob and once it's installed, it looks the same as the original. The inside, however, is a little different.

Worked and fit like a glove…rember to remove metal clip before slipping over the shaft.

Gave this 4 star when I thought about 3 for the benefit of the doubt. The metal rings inside the knobs were too small to fit my car, though the fitment specifically name my car. I am not sure if Honda used multiple size stems for these knobs or if this company just missed the sizing. The quality appears to be good and they are cosmetically good knobs. But now they are sitting on my workbench since they wouldn’t work in the car and I didn’t go to install them until after my return period was up.

The port to put it on is not the right size. I took the metal sleeve off and it was too loose, I put it back on and it's too tight. I'm a wildland firefighter and I've been gone for 2.5 months fighting fire so when I returned from fire, I found it doesn't fit and I'm stuck with it cause the return time has expired. I bought the same parts from Honda dealership and they fit perfectly.

Ordered this replacement knob set for my 1999 Honda Accord. When they arrived, the knobs did not fit. After looking at the knobs, I saw that the metal "D" shaped sleeve which slides onto the unit controller was not 100% formed correctly. This prevented the knob from easily sliding on to the controller unit as it seems the tolerances are quite precise. I still had my original broken knobs and I had to remove the "D" sleeve from the original manufacturer knobs and swap them out with the D sleeves which came on the replacement knobs (using very small needle nose pliers). Once I did that, the knobs slid onto the AC unit and I was able to use them. So a mixed review. Once I had these replacement knobs on, they looked great, worked well and fit nicely. However I had to do a bit of work and replace the D sleeves to make them fit. If I did not have the original knobs still and if I was not able to swap the D sleeves out from the original manufacturer knobs I would have had to return the item as they did not fit. If I did not have the replacement D sleeves, I would have had to try to modify and fix the existing D sleeves and I am not sure if I would have been able to fix them enough to get them to fit.

There was a little metal sleeve in the hole. For my car (1999 Honda Accord) it wouldn't fit until I removed this (I used a small screwdriver then a needle nose pliers). Once I removed it, it fit great. There weren't any directions included which is the reason for my downgrade.

After I ordered these, I became worried as I noticed the reviews all said the knobs did not fit. They did fit my daughters 99 Honda Accord LX fan and temp air control stems. They were very difficult to get on. There is a metal shim inside the knob. I had to pull it out, place it on the control stem then very carefully work the knob on the stem. It was not easy, but once it place provides a very tight fit. Hopefully I do not have to take them off!! So they do work and provide a tight fit for my Honda.
