I'm EXTREMELY disappointed with this drum head!I wanted to use it as a better head on my Pearl Export EXX series snare drum, despite I was NOT planning on using it under high tension - like on a marching snare drum. Regardless of it being a 2-ply Emperor series head, and meant for marching percussion duty, it not only has proven to be a lot thinner than what I wanted, but also it made my otherwise great sounding Pearl snare drum sound like a deadened tin can - with hardly ANY resonance to speak of! I like all my snares to have sustain and resonance, folks!I immediately went back to using my older Aquarian High-Impact series batter head, at least for the time being, and I likely won't be buying Remo Renaissance series heads ever again - aside from the three I've saved to my wish list here to buy for use on my rototoms. My roto's are designed for high tension like marching quad/quint tom sets, and so they ought to work just fine for that.
