These items are crudely made with sloppy tolerances. Typical “made-in-India” casting quality. The bolt throw is very short. They will hold a door closed and that was all I was looking for. Be sure to have some black paint available after install to touch up the screw heads.

These worked great for my project of putting doors on my daughters island that she stores mason jars on. Her 1 year old just couldn't keep his hands off the glass jars so something had to be done. This latch was the perfect fit for the design; nice looking and sturdy.

Same complaint as others have had - the latch mechanism is too short, so you end up handing to space the two components very close together. Otherwise this unit is fine. Could be of higher quality.
