The battery charger's pocket will accommodate either a radio with a battery or a battery alone.
When a battery is properly seated in the pocket the charger led will light red to indicate that the battery is charging rapidly.
When the battery is 90% charged, the LED will being to blink green to indicate that the battery is trickel charging.
When the battery is fully charged, the LED with chage to a steady green light to indicate that the battery is fully charged.
The vehicular charger adapte base with the removable battery locating rail which can adapt to your standard (slim) batteries (such as nntn4851 nntn4970) or thick batteries (such as nntn4497).

It works perfectly and fits the cp-200D.You have to turn the battery slot.I mounted it in my 2023 5500HD Silverado.Charge speed is perfect.
