Works as well as the EV original. Additional mode selection LED screen is a bonus, and not on the originals.

New life for an older EV subwoofer. As another reviewer mentioned, 50% on the gain control is all that's needed. Lifespan remains to be seen, but it appears to be as well constructed as the EV original. I'm buying another one.

The amp was a perfect fit to my EV Elx118p, the features on the amp are plus compare to the original amp. I tested the amp and it responded very well, I just had one issue the clip was to sensitive, the volume knob would pass the half way point to get the sound I was looking for and the limit warning would go off, it work for a bit until the amp goes on protect mode and shuts off. A good protection feature but at the same time annoying. I decided to get a Y cable so I can use the two channels and to my surprise I got more sound out of the amp without clipping. The volume knobs was at the center and didn't need to go any higher. I would have gave it 5 stars but I need to know how long the life span is, for now it's a good alternative for replacing old non-working amp.

I ordered this amp to bring my 18” E/V eliminator to life it is a non powered speaker.Before i cut up my speaker i hot wired it and played it three consecutive days for approximately 5to 6 hours.. The amp never broke a sweat .. It did not get hot.. Feeling comfortable with tge amp i went ahead and cut the amp cut out on the speaker and mounted the amp.. Another 3 days of testing amp did not get hot.. Well since i own 2 E/V eliminators i felt confident and purchased another amp an mounted that one.. The apm and the speakers are a match made in heaven. The amp is 500watts Rms 900watts max.. The speaker is 400watts Rms with a 1600max potential.. I gave 3 stars because I can’t vouch for longevity, That being said this speaker is now shaking my house down, I mean i had a crown CE 4000 600 watts per channel and the speaker never rocked like this.. I recommend you check your speaker specs before buying .. As for me at this moment im super happy with this purchase..Time will tell..

Great price.... I replace a Yamaha amp that was bad with this one and I was surprised speaker was more punchy best decision ever...
