High Recovery Capability
Powerstar batteries have an excellent charge acceptance and recovery capability even after deep discharge. The heavy-duty lead calcium-alloy grids in PowerStar batteries provide an extra margin of performance and service life in both float and cyclic applications, even in conditions of deep discharge.
Low Self Discharge
Because of the use of Lead Calcium grids alloy, Powerstar SLA battery can be stored long periods of time without recharge. The PowerStar SLA battery has stable and reliable performance. The battery can withstand overcharge, over discharge, vibration, and shock, and is capable of extended storage.
Low Pressure Venting System
Powerstar batteries are equipped with a safe, low-pressure venting system which operates at 1psi to 6psi, designed to release excess gas and reseal automatically in the event that gas pressure rises to a level above the normal rate. Thus, there is no excessive build up of gas in the batteries.
Gas Recombination
Powerstar batteries incorporated unique design that effectively controls generation of gas and allows recombination of over 90% of gas generated during the normal use. This low pressure venting system, coupled with the extraordinarily high recombination efficiency, make our batteries the safest sealed lead-acid batteries available.
Maintenance Free
During the expected floating service life of Powerstar batteries, there is no need to check the specific gravity of the electrolyte or add water, which means they require no maintenance service.
In fact, there is no provision for these maintenance functions.
Heavy-Duty Grids
The heavy-duty lead calcium-alloy grids in Powerstar batteries provide an extra margin of performance and service life in both float and cyclic applications, even in conditions of deep discharge.
A Heavy Duty Separator increases life, is resistant to shock and vibration to prevent shorts.
HEAVY duty plates and grids are inside the battery for durability.
UL Recognized Component
All of our Powerstar SLA batteries have already passed UL.
International Air Transport Association
Powerstar batteries are SLA factory sealed and will meet all requirements of the International Air Transport Association.

I received the battery in a partially discharged condition which is normal for batteries that are held in storage for extended periods.It had just enough power to start a 7-1/2 HP mower in its discharged condition, which I also expected.After charging for a half hour, it produced the power to start the engine quickly. This was just a quick test to confirm that the battery would accept a charge. It will then be charged overnight to its full capacity.I am satisfied with this battery and recommend it if it suits the required specifications of your intended use.

Received new battery, let charge for atleast 24hrs, installed and nothing! Put my old battery back in and that battery slowly cranked. Lawnmower starts on first pull with using pull coard. This battery is obviously defective and they are not offering any help! Buyer beware!

I liked the quick delivery and price of the Toro replacement battery. It fit my Toro recycler mower perfectly.It came fully charged and ready to go, I can't speak to the longevity since I just put it in in April 2024,

Worked great for few months and then started to lose power. Battery has 2 year warranty so I called customer service and they replaced the battery.
