I'm trying to be more conscious of using plastic that will get thrown away, and a friend told me about beeswax wrap, so I was excited to try these. Yes, beeswax is more expensive than plastic bags, and it only lasts 6-12 months, but I was excited about the idea of simply composting these when they reached the end of their lifespan. These have a plastic attachment, though, which I didn't think about when selecting these. The plastic belt-like attachment works after you fold the bag closed, then snap the straps to keep your bag shut (the info pictures show how it's used). Overall, these seem to be working well for me, but next time I'll try to find bags with no plastic.

These bread bags are made of cloth and beeswax so it a nice way to a naturally store bread and cuts down on plastic usage or waste. The bags are big so it’s quite roomy and will store a mid to smaller loaf or a cut up bigger loaf.I didn’t find the plastic clip strap to be useful, not entirely sure what it’s purpose was other than maybe to hang the bag?

Like half the planet, I’ve recently gotten into making sourdough. One of the biggest challenges, though, is storing it. Until now, my only options were wrapping it in foil or plastic wrap or freezing it. I knew there had to be a better way, and these bags are exactly that—a much better way.First off, they’re thick and well-made. So simple yet so perfect—the perfect size, the perfect closure, the perfect material—everything. The beeswax coating on the inside does an amazing job of keeping my loaves as fresh as the day I made them. They even smell great (a light, sweet honey scent)! If you’re into making sourdough, just get these. They’re a fantastic storage solution!

The two bread bags are attractive and big enough for most loaves, although some baguettes will be too long. You seal them up like a dry bag you might take to the beach: roll over the top of the bag and then curl the ends together to make a mostly airtight seal which also makes a convenient carry handle. I tried storing bread in these and it is probably better than a plastic bag, allowing some breathability while preventing drying out. The bags require hand cleaning, and the instructions state that the bags will only last for 6 to 12 months of use. Given this short life and high maintenance requirement, the price seems high.

We had always used the disposable paper bread bags, so I was excited to find this fabric & beeswax option. They are large bags that hold very large loaves (or multiple smaller loaves). It seemed to keep my bread fresher for longer & was easy to clean after use (just flip inside out & wipe any crumbs off of the beeswax). Should hold up for quite a few uses & cuts down on the single use products we had been using before

My family cooks sourdough bread fairly often, so we've been using these bags. They're large and work great with an easy way to keep the end closed up enough to keep the bread from drying out before we can eat it. Easy to keep clean, we're definitely going to keep using these.

Absolutely love these beeswax lined bread bags!! The outside is a nice quality canvas with a cute design printed on it. The inside has a beeswax treated canvas liner. The beeswax liner helps keep bread fresh longer without any sweating like some that are plastic lined. It can be wiped or rinsed to clean and allowed to dry out by turning it inside out. The bag features a roll down type top with a small plastic pinch clip. It’s a very nice design and quality. These are my favorite of all my bread bags! I’ll be ordering a few more of these for gifts.

Keeping homemade bread fresh isn't always easy. I got these bags to store bread that I make in my bread machine. Those loaves are big and so I needed a bag that would fit. I also wanted a bag that sealed closed. I've tried drawstring bread bags and they leave a hole at the mouth. The designs on the bags are very pretty and the colors are vibrant. The bags seals well when you roll and clip the ends. I have tried beeswax covers in the past and they were always very stiff and not at all manageable. The beeswax in these bags is soft and moves well with the bag. The bag won't work well for hot breads, which I often have to store. The bread must be cooled first. This came in a two pack and I usually bake only one loaf, so I'll use the other bag for other things I'd like to keep fresh - like store bought bagels and rolls, and even cereal.
