Not sure if I got a dud because the reviews were good. My husband only used it for less than an hour at work and they already ripped.

Very comfortable, great insulation, good dexterity, overall they held up well working 50hr work weeks at a TIG shop. Would like to have another month out of them if the small hole in my left pointer finger doesn’t get bigger.I would like to get another pair but it’s hard to beat the free Tillmanns provided by the shop.

Very happy with these gloves so I'm buying another set. Purchased the original set about 5 years back when I bought a Miller Diversion 180 for hobby use. I can't say how well these will hold up if you weld for a living but they have been great for my use. They are TIG gloves, so don't expect them to last forever if you're using them for operations other than welding (cutting/grinding/fitting/etc...). I tried to switch between these and another pair of gloves during a project to try to keep them dedicated to weld time. Still would end up making cuts & grinds & prep while wearing these, so all things considered I am very happy with them. They have a snug fit and require a little break-in time before you get the ease of motion. They have a great feel and are real comfortable once the leather is broken in. The fingertips will shrink and get hard over time if you're not careful about your arc, but I think thats all leather. I eventually wore through the thumb and a fingertip from usage, handling hot parts, & sharpening hot tungsten.Overall I'm very pleased with the life I got out of the old pair and expect to get the same from these new ones.See my pics for the old vs new. I think the cuff may be a little longer on the new pair, but otherwise they look to have same pattern & materials.

These are great TIG welding gloves for the money. You can get nicer ones, but if you don't want to spend $30 a pair, these are an awesome compromise. The pinky side has a double layer of leather, as that's where you are going to bake your hand as you drag it across your base material. The leather is holding up well, and has good insulative properties. However, these should be for TIG, and maybe MIG welding only. I would not do any Arc (stick), as that will be too hot for these gloves to handle. One nice thing is, these really double as work gloves. They have the right look, and they are short and flexible with some breathability that full leather TIG gloves do not.I do suggest that you pair these with some arm protectors such as . That will keep you from getting a sunburn (arc burn), or trying to find a long-sleeved tee-shirt every day.

These gloves are great and allow superior dexterity. However, the pinky is not covered by leather on the backside, which is exactly where my gloves developed a hole in on my filler hand. The cloth material could not handle the heat from 150 amps AC, and I've had to cover it with a finger from an old glove. These would be awesome for lower amperage TIG and metal working in general.

Gloves are very comfortable and have high degree of mobility for fingers. Good for tig welding. Craftsmanship quality is good. My gloves are holding up good, I don't know what other people are doing with their gloves. I primarily use for welding and to hold and Move around metal. These gloves are not super rugged, they can't take alot abuse, better to have different glove for a different use . heat shielding is good for it's relative thickness

These are great;excellent tight fit; excellent for small welding projects, ship yard work ect.I enjoy using them as four wheeler gloves; extra heat insulation keeps your fingers warm from wind in the winter; I typically wear them when I'm plowing with my four wheeler; I have purchased these several times. With average use these gloves will last at least six months; getting them wet will shorten their life significantly. The lamb skin is very soft and confortable but will eventually wear through if you use these for garden work or other activities that are hard on your gloves/hands.

I ordered a "large" glove and found it to be pretty snug when my old replaced glove, also a large, fit a little on the loose side. If you want a good fitting glove with great dexterity, this is the one to get. I love the feel of the glove and make the welding process a lot simpler with great feel for what you're doing. It fit great, looks great and feels great...too bad they get dirty pretty quick. Part of the job, I guess.
