If you are into tweed and worn out looking gear the Aged Brass Rock Slides are for you. Tonally, they sound like a standard brass Rock Slide, but they resemble something from the bottom of the Bayou. Rock Slide individually hand ages these using a multi-step recipe of destruction. They have a perfectly smooth finish for playability. DISCLAIMER: Every single slide is aged by hand. Appearance will vary drastically from slide to slide. Some look like the picture, some come out with more black, some come out with more golds or rust colors.

I have loved hearing slide guitar for the longest time but struggled to play it myself. I play pinky slide and slides without the notch on the end would always be uncomfortable to my hands. The end notch on these slides means you can put them all the way down to your knuckle and still bend your finger. The tapered side wall also means you get the fat sound of a thick walled slide without the awkwardness. Since purchasing this I have bought many more including the glass version (which is just as great). My only critique would be the finger rest on the side. When playing with your pinky is does not line up to my fingers and is a distraction. I would prefer to just not have it. But regardless, these things rock.

Finally a slide that doesn’t slip off my finger! I have the glass and the tarnished brass and I love them both, depending on the sound I want, or if I’m playing acoustic or electric. Sizing is fairly straight forward depending on which finger you play your slide on. I bought the small because I initially played on my pinky, then had to size up to the medium when I started playing on my ring finger.

I'm not a great slide player but needed one for a gig. These slides are really well thought out and sit very comfortably on my hand because of the notch cut. I'm still able to chord and play single note lines with this on my pinky. Also, it sounds quite good for the purposes I was using it for. It's the perfect weight for the 11 gauge strings I am using. I'd buy one again if I lost it and I will likely me playing more slide because I enjoy this one so much.

I have had the Rock Swamp Slide for a month now - love it. In fact I lost my chrome slide and I simply do not care to replace it - the Swamp does it that much better - Slides are long, warm, and slinky. Slight movement brings a wealth of Vibrato, which it is incredibly predictable. You may not get the control of Roy Rogers in "Tip Walk' but it will improve the control you have right now.Plus, it is very, very comfortable... just get the right size. The Rock Swamp Slides tend/seem to be smaller - I can place my finger in a 9/16ths socket just fine. However, when I ordered a Small I found it was 9/16ths on outside edge, not inside edge...Simple guide: Grab a 9/16ths Deep-well Socket.. If you can place the deep-well 9/16ths Socket on your slide finger comfortably, buy a medium. If the 9/16ths socket is to loose to control, buy a small. If the deep-well 9/16ths Socket does not get down to the last knuckle on your huge meat mitts... buy a Large.

This is by far my favorite guitar slide. It certainly looks like it was retrieved from the bottom of a swamp, although the way it sounds against the strings suggests that the liquid was not water, but ambrosia. Its tone has smoke-and-honey quality that I just love, and it feels comfortable in the hand. I like everything about the slide, including the look. It has a pleasant weight, and the bevel where the finger goes in is a nice touch. For clarity, this slide is not for the faint of heart! In my search for a slide, I have tried chrome steel, which gives my Yamaha a warm, buttery tone. However, I prefer something raspier. My first brass slide was fairly close to the sound I wanted, but this one is dead-on; its mass and composition positively snarl against the strings. It all comes down to taste, of course, and you may want to keep some gentler slides for variety, but if you're looking for real attitude, this slide might put a big smile on your face.I have included a link to this guitar slide; in the near future, I hope to give specific dimensions on the slide and my fingers to help you select the appropriate size for your hand. Please note that the product link in this review leads to the "small" size.

I had a dream about this slide the night before it arrived. In the dream it sounded beautiful and almost played the notes for me as though guiding me to that magical place between the notes. Today I put it on my pinky and the dream came true. Warm balanced tone, slides like butter in a hot pan with no sizzle. This is what you're looking for. The unicorn of slides. I just bought another one incase this one escapes!

fantastic product overall! Most slides leave a lot to be desired in usability and versatility but the design for these is perfect. The cutaway allows you to bend and flick your finger all over the place without clanging against the strings and the weight is perfect. The tapered design and finger rest allow even the clunkiest slides to seamlessly glide across the neck with ease.
