I purchased the single 8 inch Rockville Amplifier and Subwoofer kit and all I can say is wow. The sheer difference in how the music I play sounds is outstanding. There is no way I will ever be able to go back to not having this sub. I could not be more impressed.First off the installation was relatively easy and quick. I had never put a sub in before but with the help of the instructions and some youtube videos this kit was so easy to set up. The kit comes with all of the wires and everything you will need to put this sub in your car. A friend and I were able to put this sub in my car in under two hours and were not required to purchase any extra items.Secondly the pure sound quality from this sub and amp kit is phenomenal. I truly could not be happier with how it sounds. It perfectly highlights the bass in every song and does not need to be turned up much to hear the boom of the bass. This sub does not create a muddy or staticy bass compared to some other brands, instead the bass could not be any smoother and it delivers the perfect listening experience.Another positive about this kit is if you are a person who enjoys over the top bass well this sub has my car vibrating at under 25% power so there is always the option to turn it up. But if you are someone who doesn’t like overwhelming bass it easily turns down to be just noticeable. All of this is extremely convenient to change even while driving thanks to the power knob that comes with this kit. The knob is easy to install as well and you can leave it wherever you want in the car. I find it useful when I want either more or less bass. I am easily able to use the knob and not have to worry about going into the sound settings on my stereo. But if you don’t want the knob you don’t even have to install it.I would highly recommend this kit, it is easily one of the best purchases I have made. It has completely transformed how my music sounds and as I said before there is no way I could go back. This is definitely a 5 star item.

Nice 8 inch powered subwofer! It sounds bigger than it is. Nice powerful base. But this will not shake your mirrors like the big boys. But you do get a good powerful base that will really improve your factory sound . I think it will impress you.

Installed in my bmw 330i e90 with the TechnicPNP harness for the logic 7 system. $210 all in with the harness and i must say money well spent. Stock systems already sounds great but this added the cherry on top. Also small size gives me more than enough trunk space.Update. Been about a year. Still sounds decent

My car came with a Bose system, and it sounds good, but the bass is lacking for my taste. it only has a 4" subwoofer again it sounds great, but not loud enough. adding the Rockville RVB8.1A was not only easy but a perfect match. I own a 2014 Chevrolet Volt. The battery is in the back so I did not have to route the power from the front, and the subwoofer is also right next to the battery, so all I had to do was tap into it and connect that to the high level input of the Rockville RVB8.1A and that was it I did not even need a remote wire since the Rockville RVB8.1A 8" auto senses when the radio is on from the input and turns on, and off automatically. I left the frequency all the way to 250hz since I was getting the signal from a subwoofer output already and I wanted the Rockville RVB8.1A to get all the frequencies that the Bose sub was getting, I was not disappointed. And the more I play it the better it sounds I think is because the subwoofer is breaking in. The size was also good and it did not take much of the cargo space. all in all I am very happy with the Rockville RVB8.1A and would recommend it to anybody that wants to add bass to their stock radio, while not taking too much cargo space.

it does not sound good at all when you have it at full volume, it sounds good until about half volume, I do not think it was worth the prize

Good Powered Sub ... It came with everything you need to install ... the only problem I had was on installation ... not very good instructions ... this was the first time I've installed a sub and I had trouble figuring out what wires to connect but I called their customer service and they were very helpful explaining how to do it ... with that info, it was an easy install ... Overall, good solid bass and my very average stereo set up sounds much better ... One thing ... this is not an overpowering bass ... it will make your stereo sound better but it won't rattle the window ... thx
