Installed this a week ago and no more squirrel! Wish I knew about this product BEFORE my $800 car wiring repair bill.🙄Quick, easy installation. Used the included wiring harness to connect directly to the car battery.Highly recommend.

Not easy to attach power to a car battery.Doesn't come with large croc clips. I used a drill+nuts+bolts to attach the supplied space connectors to some spare croc clips. The rest is straightforward. The instruction manual is ok, minus any car battery suggestions. The unit is claimed to run from 5-12V. A typical car battery reaches up to 14V, but it seems to work ok.Power consumption (probably the average, not the peak with lights flashing) is quoted as 0.1WEach unit has a power rocker switch, and an indicator showing it is on.The indicator flashes red every 5 seconds initially, and goes to flashing green for normal operation.Engine or road vibrations cause the unit to be inactive.I didn't mount it directly to the engine due to heat, but got close by attaching it to cables using the four ties supplied. It doesn't have an infra-red motion sensor, it just makes its ultrasonic noises and flashes its lights every 2 minutes.

We really appreciate the size and convenience of using batteries or hot wiring to the car. It is working well because we have not seen any more critters!

The pest control unit was very easy to install. There were a few options. You could charge it with a USB, 4 AA batteries, or hardwire it to your vehicles battery. I chose to hardwire it to my battery. Once installed, you just flip the switch and it turns on. I highly recommend this product. My neighbors were hit 3 times by either squirrels or rats. There vehicles wires were completely chewed up. It cost one neighbor who was hit twice, $3600. It cost the other neighbor $2000. I am definitely not in a position to have to lay out that kind of money for repairs. This is a great investment when you crunch the numbers.

I had this product recommend by a friend . I do a lot of RV camping ,some of it remote. Seen vehicles with underhood wiring damage ( pack rats) which is very costly. Very easy to install, with good results. No problems

Just installed the unit. It was quick and extremely simple. The cable that allows direct connection to the car battery eliminated the worry and Maintenace of the unit having no power. Very good product for the cost considering what it can save you from having Rodents damage your wiring.
