Do not buy a digital piano from Amazon!!! Delivery and return was painful. Note, they charge you to return.This particular piano was nice but the key feel was not great and the action (movement of keys) was way too synthetic and not nearly authentic as I wanted for this price.

It took my husband and I about a half hour to set it up following the instructions. It's very sturdy and the piano has a beautiful sound.But I wish the controls were more intuitive. While selecting sounds is pretty simple, other seemingly simple things take a lot more effort, like transposing. The menu is quite deep, where I feel that adding a few more buttons would simplify things. I haven't figured out if there's a way for the piano to automatically open on the last setting I used.The Bluetooth phone app is very intuitive and there are so many settings to play with. It takes about a minute to connect once you turn it on. It does timeout rather quickly, though, which means the piano loses the settings you set up in the app and you have to reopen the app and reset your piano how you want it, which is quite annoying when you're brainstorming an idea or researching a song. Maybe there's a way to fix that and I just haven't found it yet.Recording songs is very easy and the buttons are right there on the piano.Overall, if you're looking for a beautiful digital piano that plays piano and records, it's an amazing piece. If you want to easily transpose or edit settings in real time with a band or between songs at a rehearsal this is probably not the piano for you.

I thought that I had not been sent the piano I ordered. What I received did not seem to have Operating Center #2, which is above the center of the keyboard. I pushed back the keyboard cover, and no display, no knob, no nothing. Just the keys.But I was wrong. By dumb chance, once when I was pushing back the keyboard cover it lifted up slightly and I caught a glimpse of something. I lifted and pushed back further, and voila! There was the "missing" Operating Center #2!So....the instructions could be a bit more explicit by stating that you have to push back AND lift up slightly to get to the second operating center.Other than that, the piano itself is lovely. It looks lovely and it sounds great. The keys are weighted very nicely. It feels like playing a "regular" piano.

I purchased the Roland Rp- 701 for my grandchildren to learn to play. This piano supports that objective with a number of features- including Bluetooth MIDI which allows teaching apps (simply piano) to connect with the Roland making learning more enjoyable.Keyboard feel is good and the overall build quality is very good. Sound bank variety keep young players engaged.The “comes with” bench is small - duets are not possible with the included bench

As a music educator, it has always been important for the piano/keyboard in our rehearsal room to be in tune, solidly built, and worth the $ investment. This Roland is exactly that. It arrived extremely well-packed. The base was very easy to assemble. I would buy this again.
