Sony FE 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 GM OSS consists of 7 parts.
The lens cover is design and produced in the strict accordance with the lens function, will not affect the normal operation of the lens. The focus ring, support ring can be rotated independently, the control panel area can be opened the window, the baffle can reverse installation.
In order to reduce the number of parts and the number of gaps, the manual focus ring lens cover was widened.
After testing, there is no change on focus ring rotation damping, and the hand feel is good. There are 3 custom buttons when widened the covers, but the cover of the custom button is thinner and can be easily manipulated across the canopy while retaining a good feel.
The “100, 135, 200, 300, 400” value marks on the zoom ring will not be blocked by the lens cover. After install the lens cover on the bracket ring, it still can be rotated.
There are gap on the split structure of lens cover, it can't be used in the rain. The water repellency of fabrics will decrease gradually with the increase of use time. Please choose a suitable rain cover when used in the rain.

想像以上にタイトで取り付けが難しい。やっとの思いで付けたものの、大切なボタンが隠れたり動きが悪くなるのが気に入りませんでした。自分には不必要だと判断し外そうとしたところ、あまりのタイトさでフォーカスリングごと取れる事態になりました。すぐにハサミで切り、フォーカスリングは元通りになりましたが二度とつけようとは思いません。恐ろしい思いをしました。

カモフラの色彩も上品で気に入っている。装着時点のキツさが多少気になったが、ある程度の締めつけでフードが落ちなくなったのが満足している。

緑っぽいのが嫌で一番茶色く見えたこの柄にしたのですが、実物はかなり緑色でした。写真は200-600に付けている同じRolanproの迷彩カバーを横に置いてみました。品質はとても良いと思います。着けるのは大変で1時間くらい掛かりますが、他のメーカーを使う気にはなりません。色柄がもっと増えると良いですね。200-600は伸縮しないレンズだったので問題ありませんでしたが、こちらは伸縮する部分にカバーを着けると、カバーの厚みが引っかかって一番短い状態にすることができません。正確に測っていませんが300mm台位？の長さで止まってしまいます。持ち歩きや収納で短さを求めている人は、伸縮部分のカバーは外すか、使用する度に着脱しないといけません。しかしカバーを外しているとその部分だけ白くて不格好です。着脱も面倒です。常に400mmで撮る人は良いですが、ズームを使う人はカバーを付けていると伸縮しません。あとは丸いフォーカスホールドボタンがカバーで隠れてしまうのもマイナスです。200-600のカバーはくり抜いてあったので。

This is a very well made, perfectly fitted product specifically for the Sony 100-400 f4.5 to f5.6 lens. The parts are all number labeled and a diagram of the lens shows where each numbered part goes. Some are velcro attachments, one has an elastic band for easy attachment and other parts slip on. All cut outs line up perfectly so lens is completely functional except for the 3 lens control custom buttons which get covered. Not a deal breaker since everything else is so snug and easy to apply. There is a velcro attached piece for when the lens is fully extended to 400mm, again very easy to apply when needed. I have ordered the Rolanpro cover for my 1.4 tele-extender and it will be coming in the same camo color since I notified the seller as recommended after ordering. Very happy with the Rolanpro product, it is a custom fit.
