The new Rosette Fret Polishing kit features four grades of polishing fabric for a more simple process of fret treatment. Just lay the Fret Board Guard over the fret, and use the new Polishing Papers to quickly dress the fret. Depending on the condition of your frets, start with the Green (400 Grit), or the Grey (600 Grit), and just run up and down the fret a few times. Then go through the other grades, and when you finish, your frets will look like polished glass. Ditch the steel wool and ineffective polishing papers, and work with the best products available to clean and polish frets.

Very nice little kit. I used it on an older 4-string bass. The frets were so badly tarnished I couldn't tell what shape they were in. 15 minutes is all it took to get all shiny again. I have enough left over for 3-6 more instruments.

This fret polishing kit is very simple, but very effective. I have a 2002 Gibson SG that had some very dull frets where I don't typically play. After only a few minutes wiping them down with the different grit pages, they came back to an easy shine. I probably could have gone further to get that mirror-like quality, but was satisfied with what I got from a pretty negligible amount of effort. It was so effective that my dull frets looked noticably better than the rest, so I did a quick pass on the entire fretboard for an even polish. It came out great!

This does alright. You have to take your time and follow the instructions. Pretty easy. It isn’t as good as dine pastes and coated cloth. I use silverware cleaning clothes now. Can be cut up for many uses and cheaper.

Took a while to come, but I'll put it down to Coronavirus and the fact I live on the other side of the world. Free shipping though, so I really can't complain. Basically, this product revived my guitar. I noticed for a while that bends were not feeling as smooth and the guitar wasn't playing as well as it once did. After doing some research, I ordered this product, and for the incredibly low price I wasn't sure what to expect. The product is well-packaged with clear instructions for use. The effects were immediately apparent as the frets started to look much cleaner instantly. After working through the different grits (which took all of 7 or 8 minutes, and I was taking my time and being thorough), I restrung the guitar and began to play. What a dream!! It plays not as good as new, but even better than when I got the guitar off the shelf. Incredible product, plus it comes with enough that I could do it every few months and not run out for a long time. Extremely impressed, honestly worth double the price for the amazing benefits it has on your guitar. Thank you!!!!!

Product works as advertisedNice packaging and includes instructions - good. Not enough product. Especially the coarsest sanding cloth. Vendor should include twice the volume of the coarsest sanding cloth.I had some badly scratched frets and used up almost half the coarsest sanding cloth on the one guitar.Big exaggeration that you get enough product to do 20 guitars. Maybe 2 if the frets are in poor condition like mine. Maybe 5-10 if the frets are in great condition and you just need to get 'em a buff and polish. The stainless steel protector is okay, but personally, I found blue painters tape on the the fret board worked much better. The stainless steel protector is too big once you get to the upper frets. Doesn't fit between the frets and you will end up scratching or damaging your frets if you use it on them.Good idea, but a little pricey for the quantity of product.Hopefully the vendor will take this feedback into consideration to improve the offering.

I taped each side of the fret with masking tape , then sanded the fret wire using the metal guard on top of the tape. This was economical as each piece of tape was re-used for more than one fret. The system resulted in mirror finished frets. I also cut the 3M papers as needed into thin strips (1/2 to 3/4 inches) so that there will be enough to treat a few more guitars.I couldn't find any info on what grit the blu and magenta papers were but examined closely to figure it. The kit is incomplete without this information. I suggest that the grit of each colour be included with the package. For this reason 5 stars is not given even though the system is excellent. This system works beautifully. Thanx

This is an amazing fret finishing system! I've recently leveled & crowned the frets on 2 of my older guitars. For anyone who's done this, you know how difficult it can be to get rid of the scratches going lengthwise to the neck. If you don't completely eliminate them, you'll have trenches that your strings will need to clear every time you try to bend them! Removing the scratches usually requires some heavy-duty sanding width-wise. Once the scratches are all going the correct direction, it's now time to gradually polish them away.I use a dremel and polishing wheel (with jeweler's rouge) as my last polishing step, but the final result is only as good as the gradual polishing that leads up to it. Therein lies the key: you can't go from 320 grit paper to 2000 grit paper and think you're done! It requires going over the frets several times, gradually working your way up to progressively finer paper. Once you reach the finest paper, you'll notice the frets are already pretty shiny. At this point, the jeweler's rouge & dremel step will make them rival the chrome on the nicest Harley you've ever seen! The only thing I would recommend is immediately throwing away the "fret board guard," as it'll never provide the right amount of protection your fingerboard needs. I use a low-tack tape, like 3M Blue Painters Tape or Frog Tape Delicate, applied very carefully, and cut with a razor blade (or scalpel) at a 45-degree angle (almost cutting under the fret). Don't cut your fingerboard!Other than that, this polishing kit is exactly what I was looking for to perfect my frets. Thanks!
