Standard western saddle stirrup leather is 3” wide. These tapadero/stirrup combos are only 2 5/8” approx.,so are too narrow. Nice looking tapaderos, and fast shipping; too bad.

these are not as wide as the other tapaderos I have purchased and won't work for me with winter boots on, other than that they seem just fine.

Nice quality stirrup. Problem is that it is a stirrup not a pair. Don’t know how to order another and make sure it is the other side.

Beware - this listing is for only one Tapadero - not a pair. The Tap I received was okay but not useable when only one is shipped. When I inqured about sending another they couldn't guarantee I would be the opposite one to make the pair. Just wanted to put this info out there to keep others from being stuck with just one purchased Tap.

My husband needed these for our bush whacking adventures to keep safe (my friend got her foot pinned with a log in regular stirrups). They are surprisingly really nice and matched his black saddle perfectly. We trimmed the leather strings down (preference). The stirrup inside is padded which is extra comfort and we added stirrup turners for ultimate husband comfort.
