Good product. I use with senior chair bound residents and they enjoy it.

Was a replacement for the original ball at the Pioneer Home in Prescott AZ. Original ball had been in use for over 5 years. Was very good that same holes were drilled in the same locations so the switch to the new ball was made easily. Excellent ball and just right for the elderly to use.at 5lbs.

Its totally hollow on the inside and collapses easy. Even kids can flatten it. I bought this as a lightweight learning ball to practice with, what a disaster. It got stuck in the ball return 6 out of 6 times, had to call workers to have it removed. Twice it wouldn't even roll to the pins, but stopped in the gutter, despite the kids really throwing it hard. Each time it bounces down the alley, doesn't roll at all. This is a terrible teaching tool, and we gave it to the dogs to play with.

Previously I purchased 1.5 lbs foam ball that was way too light even for little kids. I have real bowling pins at home and wanted a heavy enough ball to knock down the pins without destroying my This ball got nice weight to it. It's rubber, so you don't have to worry about cracking or breaking. It's got 3 different grip positions.Couple cons that probably contributes to another reviewers that said it's not a real bowling experience. It's made of rubber so it bounces a bit and makes thick "thunk" noise but it's not like you can play basketball with it. I don't mind this much. One thing I don't like is that this ball is hollow. So when you grip the ball, your fingers can all touch each other and that makes it bit difficult to throw the ball since fingers naturally curl in for a grip and harder to release. For this price you'd think manufacturer could add more material and not make it hollow.Overall, it's still fun for backyard use. Since it's rubber and hollow I wouldn't recommend leaving it out. It'll probably warp.

Purchased three Ebonite Zoom Predrilled Bowling Balls 6lb for the kids, and they all cracked after a few usesSo we purchased these as a no-crack solutionThe kids were excited at first but less than thrilled after actually bowling with them (since they're really rubbery, they bounce almost like a normal rubber ball and don't roll like a 'real bowling ball')The search for a durable yet satisfying kids bowling ball continues . . .

Late review. This bowling ball worked perfectly for our after school in/outdoor bowling activity. The program is still using this ball today and I'm very happy with the product. It is not too heave and works for all ages of kids.
