Your cart is empty.This linkage kit replaces the original L-bracket and retainer-clip clutch rod with an upgraded spherical rod design. This allows for full clutch engagement during heavy body and frame flex situations while off road. The factory design has a tendency to bind, not allowing you to get into gear. This kit can be used with vehicles having up to a 3-inch body lift because it replaces the short factory clutch rod.

This Clutch rod for CJ-7 is an absolute must if a manual transmission is used and a body lift has been performed. I added my 1" body lift 3 years ago not knowing of this extension. My jeeps shifting was never the same after the lift was installed.I had to cut a little relief in the firewall as I have a Chevy 350 with a SM465, other than that straight forward install. My Throwout bearing noise went away and more importantly the clutch movement was like it was new with let off after initial press of the clutch pedal. Can't believe I went so long not knowing about this. I highly recommend this Rugged Ridge 16919.30 Clutch Linkage Kit.

Nice product, works like it should...BUT...if you are not mechaniclly inclined, you might want to seek help. Luckily I am. The direction contradict themselves, and are very misleading. I even reached out to Rygged Ridge, and Another well known 4x4 dealer, and both techs agreed that the directions seriously needs to be redone.

Very solid design and handy extensions (although, depending on your lift you may not need the extensions). Definitely an upgrade from the standard clutch rod.

Very solidly made and shipped quickly. I had to tap the threaded holes in the tube.I didn't need the extended joint for the large body lift, so I removed the threaded rod from it.It is the same size and thread count as the adjustable portion of the clutch linkage.I used the joint to have a longer lived pivot portion on that linkage as well!
