How to transfer backpacking fuel
Step 1
Place receiving canister in the freezer. Place sending canister in the sun.
Step 2
Wait 5 minutes.
Step 3
Thread canisters onto fuel transfer device. Sending canister on top ("OUT") side, Receiving canister on bottom ("IN") side. Hand tighten.
Step 4
Open valve to transfer fuel. Once fuel transfer is complete, close valve and detach canisters.

Not much to say here. This gizmo works exactly as described. Just follow the simple steps on the instruction card. You can go watch a YouTube video or two for some extra details. BTW, you really should have a small scale for weighing your filled can to avoid overfilling. Anyway, a great little device; save yourself some money and toss fewer canisters.

Follow the directions and weigh the tank. It filled my used ones right up and worked great. I buy the large bulk ones cheaper and refill my smaller canisters for backpacking.

This is a solid budget choice for a fuel transfer valve.The valve has markings to indicate the transfer side and the receiving side, which is helpful. I also appreciate the pressure release valve.The whole thing folds up tiny and compact, making it easy to toss into any gear bag.

Thought I'd have to use it more but since we can really empty our cans it makes the fuel go further. Glad I picked this up for camping prep.
