This regulator works perfectly for refrigeration pressure testing. Looking at other reviews I knew (the included instructions also indicate this) 800 psi was probably not obtainable. 500 psi was my target and this regulator did that with no issue. 4 stars due to the slightly misleading advertising.

Regulator, hose, CGA580 and gauges all work and seal perfect. Set pressure less 10 pounds, when system is charged, shut off the gas bottle valve. Turn the regulator to higher setting and the high pressure gauge on set matches or goes lower. No more boost pressure is available, and low pressure gauge was tight to charged pressure for over an hour. All my other hoses and gauges were useless. Only needed this also, 2 "high quality core removers [ one 1/4" and one 5/16ths"] and a high quality 4' vacuum hose 3/8"ID 1/4", micron gauge and Nitrogen or Argon heavy gas bottle charged above 1000 lbs.

RXWELD seems to be a very good brand. Im impressed with the quality of this product . I will be looking at more of their products . A guys shop is his man cave of tools (toys), and RX WELD has some nicetools (toys) to add to that collection, whether getting something new, or just replacing the old with something nicer.

I've had these gauges for almost a year have had no problems with him very nice they were half the price of what a local supply house charge will buy again .

Well machined regulator. No keaks when mounted to the tank, and the pressures matched my end-use gauge set as well. The regulator came extremely well packaged, nestled into precisely fitted closed cell foam.

RX WELD Nitrogen Regulator with 0-800 PSI. Impressed by quality of machining on this unit. Had inlet filter on inlet to tank which was nice to see. High Pressure gauge have increments of 125 psi which is suitable for gauging supply tank pressures. Low - Supply Pressure gauge have increments of 20 psi, with zero pin and 20 psi being almost the same. This regulator might not be suitable for someone needing a quite low pressure output for very low flow work. It worked fine for supplying my nitrogen flow meter at 60 psi, as well as supplying 400 psi for a pressure test I performed. The gauge to tank inlet stem could be a bit longer so the gauges would clear the tank knob on a 125 cu ft Nitrogen tank when attempting to install the regulator with gauges in a straight up viewing, but it worked perfectly fine when rotated a bit to clear the tank knob. It just made viewing the gauges a bit unhandy. Hose supplied had a white plastic type gasket and worked fine for my work.I found after using this regulator with a 125 cu ft Nitrogen tank that the inlet stem of the regulator should be at least 1 + inch longer to allow clearance between the tank knob and gauge set. This would allow the gauges to mount vertically and Nitrogen Flow Meter if attached to hang vertically as it is intended to be used. I have not tried on a smaller 80 cu ft Nitrogen tank, but hope the smaller tank size will allow for adequate clearance so the Regulator will mount vertically.
