Summary:Good fit, easy installation, and much-improved trailer handling. These are a great value and well worth the time to install.Details:We installed these on a trailer used for hauling ranch equipment, often near the top of the trailer's rated load capacity. We decided to replace the worn-out nylon bushings with these metal ones. The installation was straightforward, and applying a light coat of anti-seize compound helped with the hand-pressing process and should protect the bushings from deicing chemicals used on winter roads. We compared these bushings to the nylon ones supplied with a replacement shackle kit, and they matched the size perfectly. After installation, the trailer's handling characteristics improved dramatically.Note:The product title might suggest these are made of bronze or brass, but that's just the finish color. These bushings are iron (verified with a magnet) and plated with copper, as noted in the product details. Realistically, brass would be too soft for long-term service.

I've been working with trailers for years. Suspension rebuilds happen more often than I want due to the plastic bushings wearing through. These bronze bushings tend to be used more in commercial duty trailers, but can still be used on any trailer using 1.75" leaf springs/suspension components. These are a touch shorter than the plastics I keep on hand (1.725" versus 1.775"), but the diameters match and can be used with no problems.I'll definitely be buying more as rebuilds are needed to cycle out the plastic.
