These cars are a lot of fun, but they don't last as long as a real car, but admittedly cost a lot less too :) The primary issue with our stable of Scalextric slot cars including this one is the area of greatest stress: that's on the car's front brush assembly and track guide which is made of plastic and not very resistant to repeated impacts/fly-offs or repositioning in the slot on the track by younger kids. Replacement parts for this are available provided the tiny plastic retention tangs and pivot that hold the rotating brush assembly on the car aren't broken.
