If you have an outboard Yamaha motor, especially living along the coast in a salty and humid environment, you know that over time the fuel leftover in the original line going to the motor leaves a residue and debris, and this ultimately caused my motor to not run over a long time. This Scepter Marine Outboard Boat Motor Fuel Line Assembly Hose Kit for Yamaha motors included everything you need to replace the line from your gas tank onto the fitting on the outboard motor. It is as simple as unplugging the old one and putting the new one in. This will give me years of use and for the price, is a very good insurance!

What are you getting?84" x 3/8" fuel line with in-line primer bulb.I ordered the Yamaha to match my 25hp outboard.Pretty basic installation. Remove the old hose, clip the new end connectors on, one to the fuel tank one to the motor. Squeeze the bulb to prime the motor and you're good to go.The "little" things. The bulb has a back flow valve so fuel only moves one way. There's an arrow on the bulb (see pic) for fuel flow. Both end connectors are the same so make sure the arrow is pointing to the motor end.On my Yamaha the motor connector was a shorty version (3/8" barb female) of what is on this new hose. At first it doesn't look like it's going to fit......but it does, just fiddle with it. . If yours still doesn't fit, cut off the old connector and swap it with the new one. All you'll need is a utility knife, some patience and a hose clamp. The fittings on these hoses seldom fail before the hose.AS ALWAYS!!!! Refer to the OEM in the description to see if this will work on your motor. These hoses usually deteriorate at the bulb, so only time will tell how well this will hold up. The tubing and bulb material seems plenty thick so I'm hoping it'll last a while.

The description said this was 144 inches. It’s 84 inches, I don’t have time to return it so I’ll keep it. The product itself is great. I have a brand new Mercury pro kicker and this fits it perfectly. Although now I need additional fuel line to make it fit….Amazons description of it is not correct.

Line material looks and feels like high quality. Bulb pumps fuel without skipping. Connections are solid and do not leak. Installation is easy and straight forward. Perfect fit and function. Nice color that matches blue grey engine colors.

I hadn't started my boat for a couple of months. My late husband was the one who took care of it in the past, and I haven't had much interest. When I went to start it this week, it wouldn't go. It would crank but seemed like it wasn't getting fuel. I'd read that fuel lines don't last forever, so I thought I'd try a new one. I have a Sceptre brand fuel tank for the outboard motor (Evinrude 40 HP) and thought I'd buy the same brand for the fuel line assembly. At first, with this new fuel line, I still couldn't get it going (it had run OK a couple months ago). Then a neighbor showed me that I had the female connector backwards (upside-down?) at the fuel tank attachment . Duh. He flipped it 180 degrees and it just made a nice snap sound as it locked into place. The boat started right up.It would be nice if it were impossible to attach it the wrong way, (idiot-proof) for those of us completely ignorant/inexperienced in such things, but other than that, it seems well-built. The previous hose was a 5/16 size and this one is a 3/8", but the proper connectors are the thing that matters, I guess. It works fine.

It was exactly what I expected. It came with enough hose on either side of the bulb so I could cut it to fit exactly.
