Just exactly what I needed for all the Schlage privacy doors in our home. These little things get misplaced easily:)

If you have kids who decide to lock themselves in closets, bathrooms or bedrooms, you need these as a safety precaution. Otherwise you are in a world of pain trying to figure out what to do. Inexpensive and necessary.

I ordered a bunch of these because I had a couple for the doors at home and I can’t seem to find them so I ordered this package now I have some on hand just in case.

To open a door that this key is meant for you need something flat to be able to turn the lock. This key does not contain that. I have better luck with tearing a part a tweezer and using the flat end of it and opening up the door. So I purchased then purchase the that use the concept of a flat head screwdriver. I am waiting to receive it.

If you have a toddler, an elderly family member, and push-button door locks you NEED this. I have the Schlage door handles/locks and these keys worked fine. It takes a very firm push to release the lock but if someone has locked themselves into a room, you’ll be motivated to push. I put one each above every door in the house with these kinds of locks, just rested them on the woodwork above the door. A bargain compared with the price of knocking down a door.

Our three year old granddaughter discovered that the button on bedroom and bathroom doors locked them. I was able to find one wire clothes hanger to unlock the doors, but wanted something dedicated to that task. I looked at a few places locally, but couldn't find any, so I ordered these. They are quite sturdy, and long enough to reach the lock plunger inside the knob. The reason that I didn't give this product five stars is because the rod is narrower than the wire hanger, and can have difficulty actually finding the plunger. It may take a little "fishing" around inside the knob to find and press the plunger.
