Installation Process
WARNING: Before installing always make sure your firearm is unloaded and your muzzle is pointed towards a safe direction.
Option 1: (Optic Cover Only)
Step 1: Insert Optic Cover
Step 2: Snap interlock pins into the drain hole
Option 2: (Optic Cover + Lens Cover)
Step 1: Point your muzzle upwards and put the cover lens on top
Step 2: Insert optic cover while holding the lens in place
Step 3: Snap interlock pins into drain hole

It does what it says but there are 2 considerations. The first is that it adds height to the rear of the RMR housing which may interfere with pistol backup sights depending on your sight height. The second is that it clips into the holes on the side of the RMR which were designed to drain water away from the emitter. If you've ever shot in the rain, you basically block these holes and create a puddle in your optic and it diffracts the light to where the dot won't project without shaking it out.

Good enough for its design and price. For my application the plastic wraps around the rear a few millimeters which slightly reduces sight picture through the rmr. If you have cowitness sights it will block that sight picture

The OpticGard Scope Cover for Trijicon RMR is an okay product that offers some protection for my optic. The concept of safeguarding my expensive optic from stray casing and drops is essential, and this cover does an adequate job in that aspect.The easy snap-on design is convenient and makes installation a breeze. I appreciate not having to fiddle around with complicated mounting processes. The shockproof design is also reassuring, as it adds an extra layer of protection for my Trijicon RMR.Having a detachable lens cover is a nice addition, as it provides further protection for the optic's lens. This feature ensures that my lens stays clean and scratch-free when not in use.However, there are a few downsides that prevent me from giving it a higher rating. Firstly, the fit of the front protector could be improved. While it does stay in place some of the time, most times it was difficult if not impossible to fit and stay in place.Additionally, the material used for the cover could be of better quality. It feels a bit flimsy, and I'm not entirely confident about its long-term durability. I would have preferred a more robust construction to match the ruggedness of the Trijicon RMR.Overall, the OpticGard Scope Cover is an okay option for protecting your Trijicon RMR. It does its job to some extent and offers a certain level of peace of mind during shooting sessions. However, there is room for improvement in terms of fit and material quality to make it a more reliable and robust product.

The information on the sight protector said just what it was designed to do. It accomplishes just that. Exactly what I was looking for.
