This screen works well enough, but it doesn't quite fit a Latitude 5540. The factory screen has metal bars along the sides that this screen lacks. The main consequence is that it sits somewhat back from the display bezel, with a visible gap at the bottom. If the laptop were in a dirty area, I expect that the gap would quickly fill with dust, dirt, and gunk.The screen works well enough that I'm willing to keep it, but I don't recommend it unless your budget is tight and your environment is clean.
