It will be nice having a second choice for my pole spear. I will probably encounter Lionfish, which are an invasive species. This triple point will be useful for that.

Solidly constructed, worked very well on a short spear during several lionfish dives in Jamaica.

Newbie to this but bought triple spike for the small fish in mission bay. Works well have speared a few fish with it. I avoid shooting it against rocks as it looks like it could break. But thats why it's got a good review for now. Would be nice if it was all made of the same material at the connection cause a bead from a welder would make it indestructible but at the end of the day it's worth the money. I've used it for 3 dives.

Great for hunting Lionfish, the barbs hold them on the spear until they are pulled off in the zookeeper.

Used this to construct a collapsing lionfish pole spear. Very good quality and finish. I haven't used it yet, but in "dry runs" it proved devastating to whatever I aimed it at. I fully expect to terminate, with extreme prejudice and lionfish that I see in the future..

I had 3 of those, the first two were "warehouse deals" meaning customer returns. I also returned those as they have been defective. The actual product however is nice. The 3rd unit I ordered new and it does work very well, snatched some fish from small bait fish to 10 pounders. The barbs could be an idea bigger, one catfish got away escaping the barbs but the main reason was it got the fish from the eyes forward and even so the tips penetrated he was able to fight his way to freedom. If the fish is hit properly there is no fight.Minus: the tips are staked or pressed in to the mount without any groove, may come loose with extended usePlus: Much smaller than the single tip from the same manufacturer, I prefer the 3 prong for fresh water diving

This spearhead is great for the smaller freshwater spearfishing that I do. Also the tips are easy to sharpen if you happen to hit a rock while targeting bottom dwelling species like plecos and armored catfish. It does a great job on tilapia as well. And at Amazons prices it is a great value. I would recommend getting a six or seven foot pole spear to go with it. I ordered the five foot Scuba Choice and could use the extra foot or so.
