I got this to make guest soaps, not to make candy, so I can't speak to its use for chocolate (though there is a little bit of a silicone smell, which will probably disappear over time). The molds are heavy enough to stand under their own weight, even when full, which is good. They turn out easily. I like the hanging hole. One of the wells has what I guess is intended to look like an opening in a curled shell, but for soap at least it just looks like there was a bubble in the pour. I don't use that well design (so losing four out of 32 wells). Not a huge deal.

So every time I see molds that are different and could be used to mold something new for boxes or lamps or your imagination, then I try to buy them. You can pour almost anything into silicone mold, except silicone, unless you buy a barrier so they never touch. And glass is a no-no as far as I know. We make candy and gummies in ours most of the time. They are always an asset. The molds will be around when the roaches are long gone.
