It's a secure lock. It will take a bike theft some time to grind through this lock. No lock is perfect, but this is about the best you can expect.

Expensive but I think this brand is known/diamond rating known to be so good. Thieves went for a bike beside mine.

Lock seems hefty n secure, but NO HOLDER?? NO OPTIONS TO EVEN BUY A CORRESPONDING HOLDER?? This is not acceptable.

This lock was honestly worth the money because it doesn't feel heavy like most U locks I've seen. It's very sturdy fast and easy to lock fast without having to push against the U to lock completely. There are more variations of this lock that are larger but if you wanting something small and portable, get this lock.

Checked out a few in this category and went with this guy from this highly rated company due to their many cleverly-engineered multiple line of security and Diamond rating products - (which was a priority for me), in addition to weight (also another priority), keyed lock not combo with key registration for lifetime replacement if needed.Then it the was color scheme (black 👍), looks (eye candy😏), availability, available holder for frame mounting and my absolute favorite - can be used as a weapon in case of suddenly while on the streets, someone or someones 😮decides to get stupid with me while I'm riding🧐🤔🙄 Kapow👊 Bing Bam✌️👍. Who's the victim now😂😂😂

I ordered the 5.5 inch size lock. It came highly recommended and when it arrived it appeared to be every bit as sturdy as I'd been told. But, it was too small for my needs and I returned it and immediately ordered the larger size.Update:I swapped the small version for the larger version and received it today. The new one appears to be very sturdy. The shaft of the lock is not round so it won't rotate if one side of the lock is cut, so if the theives use an angle grinder on it they have to cut both sides in order to remove the lock. Hopefully, this will be enough of a problem to deter anyone from stealing my bike. As I said, the lock is very sturdy. When we're talking about metal items, sturdy, usually, means weight. This lock is heavy, which is the only drawback I see to it. Raising my rating from 3 to 5 stars for more useful size.

Nothing is full proof but this is as solid/strong as you will get. A portable grinder will likely cut thru but it will take time/efforts. I even bought two which is a small investment to protect our two e-bikes.

Although I have not experienced a theft attempt while using this U-lock, it is sold secure diamond rated according to the sold secure website and the large size allows me to lock my gotrax campus scooter to a variety of bike racks. It's durable and the build quality is sturdy it does not weigh much and its functionalitt is easy to use.

After having a really bad experience with purchasing both Mason 300 and Seatylock 300 and a return claim I decided to test the shorter Seatylock 220 U lock (that they finally happened to have in stock) purchased through my friend. It took exactly 18 seconds to cut it with diamond blade equipped angle grinder. The metal is apparently nothing special, high carbon tempered steel, with minor additives, easy to cut. Under challenged conditions, it may take a few seconds longer to do that on the street; then your precious bike will be gone. I suggest buying a real security bike lock instead, Hiplock or Altor SAF, also available through amazon.
