Super plush. I bought another brand with the same form factor, but the materials on this make is super plush on your bum. Definitely recommended for long rides.

This is the second Selle Royal Respiro saddle I have had. The first one lasted me years but was accidentally torn earlier this year, otherwise nothing wrong with quality of the saddle. It is comfortable and does its job when on long rides. Postage was very quick as well and packaged very well. Recommended.

I bought this saddle in May 2023 and have less than 2,000 miles on it. I weigh around 210 pounds and it was used on a road bike on smooth trails and roads. As you can see by the photo, it's a bad crack. I think that it might have been cracking for a while, but I really felt it after today's ride. I've never had a saddle fail like this or so quickly. Too bad as it was a comfortable saddle when I first bought it.

I love this saddle so much that I just purchased 5 more. One thing to note, the listed dimensions on many sites is incorrect. The saddle is 11 inches in length as the diagram correctly shows and it is 6 inches in Width at the widest section. These saddles last me about 2-3 years on average before they begin to tear. Once the fabric is compromised it begins to fall apart. I have no complaint because I do a lot of cycling and do not have any soreness using this saddle. I can ride pain free wearing just thin compression pants and without any padding in my attire. This saddle is not comparable with the lightest saddles but to be pain free I am very happy. Most bike shops are no longer stocking this item in this exact style so I chose to grab many before this disappear. The decals will wear off quickly so don't be alarmed by this.

I have been testing a lot of saddles looking for the right one for my rear. I tried several Terry models, some no names from China, every seat we already had in our garage from every bike my husband bought for himself or the kids. I have come to the conclusion that I need a big cutout in the middle, which this seat definitely has, and that I can't do without some padding, which this seat also has. I tried it out for an hour on the trainer and the results were encouraging. So I put it on the tandem and we tried it for a 30 mile road ride, and that went well also. So I moved it to the gravel tandem and we tried it on a 40 mile ride. The wind was not kind, and our average speed was low, and we were on the bike for 3.5 hours. My rear was very unhappy with me for most of that time, and is still unhappy 2 days later. I had a prior 'favorite seat' before this one, but I do not know whether my rear would have been happier on that seat than this one, or if the recovery would have been shorter. I do know that I did not feel any numbness during the ride, and I wasn't riding a chamois (I usually don't, I've got a lot of padding without).I am not sure my posture on the tandem is quite down to the 'athletic' angle this seat is made for--I tried the women's moderate version of this seat and decided it was too wide at the back. This one is better in that respect, but I'm not sure if gel is really the material I'm looking for--my other favorite uses memory foam. My husband says that with this seat, the complaints I have sound like newbie-needs-to-get-used-to-it kind of complaints rather than the uniquely fat person complaints I had before. We shall see once my butt is ready to ride again.

*update after a month of ownership*I've played around with saddle nose height a bit more and if I angle it up enough to reduce some of the pressure on my hands the burning sensation comes back on longer rides. I think the issue is the hard plastic rails on either side of the trough and the lack of sufficient padding next to it... It's more pronounced when I wear shorts with less padding than it is with shorts with lots of padding. For a lighter rider this probably wouldn't be as much of a problem but as I said below I'm 230+ lbs so there's a lot of weight from my sit bones on the saddle.Going to keep it as it wasn't terribly expensive and maybe try it again if I drop 30 or so lbs but for now I'm back to trying different saddles.Initially I didn't think I was going to like this saddle. The first few rides I was experiencing a burning sensation in the front of my sitting anatomy... I'm a larger rider - 5' 10" and 235 lbs - so I wasn't sure if it was me or the seat. However I kept fiddling with the height of the nose, bringing it down more on each subsequent ride and have managed to completely eliminate the discomfort. It feels and fits me much better than the original seat, a selle racing gel saddle.Glad I purchased this item and recommend it to others.

There is No magic saddle. You need to ride more, have the right shorts and a little chamois butter doesn't hurt. That said, a good gel saddle will help take some of the rough edges out. I got this for a mountain bike and it was a very good choice. When there is a harsh bump that your suspension doesn't handle well, it's far nice to have a forgiving saddle than have some rock hard thing come at you. For road bikers I would call this a fifty mile saddle. It feels pretty good up to that point. At the 70 mile mark you'll notice the nose is just a little wide.I can't emphasize enough that there is no magic saddle. Really good shorts will do more than any saddle. If you are having trouble, make sure your saddle is the right width (Ned to measure your sit bones) and make sure the saddle height is right and the tilt of the seat hits you right. After that, it's all about miles.

Complimenti a Selle Royal. Soddisfatto dell'acquisto. Caldamente consigliato.

This Saddle is exaclty what I was looking for. I weigh around 160 lb, and I am a little boney. I commute at least 70 miles a week on a flat bar urban commuter bike. I only have about 36 miles of riding in with this saddle, but I think it is fair to say that it is definitely a keeper. It is quite comfortable. It is not too soft, and not too firm. The covering keeps the rain out, and is not slippery. It has a very unique and attractive look to it. It also seems to be of great quality. I think it will last me a long time. I would definitely buy this again. I bought a Sell Royal saddle for my wife's bike years ago, and it has held up extremely well. I liked the feel and quality of it, which is why I decided on the same brand.
