You know how as soon as you close a pair of scissors, you just know that the blades are working together like butter? That's how these feel. The blades are stainless (so hopefully they will hold their edge) and seem very very sharp, with a nice point. They're comfortable in the hand and beautiful to look at. They come with a protective coating of fine oil, and a hard plastic point cover which snaps on, and will definitely protect against accidental punctures, and extend the life of the case! Speaking of the case, it has a thoughtful little snap that holds the scissors by snapping through one of the handles. Genius. My mother had a pair of the very famous and traditional little stork scissors that I bought for her decades ago, and these make me think of her. She was never without them. These acknowledge that tradition with modern plating and color, and well made blades. They're delightful. I can't believe the great price. Ideal gift for anyone who works with thread or yarn. Highly recommended.

I love collecting pretty scissors for my embroidery projects and these fit the bill. These are lovely, have a good weight, a nice sharp blade and a point that can really get in between those stitches. They're bigger than the stork scissors and don't have as skinny a point but they're very very sharp and the point is still functional. The leather case is great and I'm glad that it comes with blade covers because without it they can be difficult to slide into the case because they just stab it.

They may be small but they are sharp, and smooth. I especially loved how gentle they are on my hands that are worn out from work. Also, they are beautiful. I highly recommend them.
